The number of Ventura County natives playing for the Indianapolis Colts doubled on Tuesday.

Terrail Lambert, a St. Bonaventure High graduate, was signed to the Colts practice squad after going through a morning workout, according to his agent Curtis Richardson.

The 5-foot-11 cornerback joins Buena High graduate Freddy Keiaho in the Colts organization. Keiaho is in his fourth season as a linebacker for the Colts.

Following a four-year career at Notre Dame, Lambert was cut by the San Francisco 49ers in training camp.

Former St. Bonaventure High and Notre Dame defensive back Terrail Lambert, who went undrafted this weekend, has signed a free agent contract with the San Francisco 49ers, according to his agent, Curtis Richardson.

"We knew it was a legit possibility," said Richardson. "But it was a (little) nervewracking because Dallas and (San Francisco) called during the sixth round and said they might take him, but they took someone else.

"He signed with San Francisco right after though so we were happy with that situation."
