The score was set up by Sims' 22-yard pass to Brandon Gunther.

After trailing 31-3, CLU scored twice in the final six minutes -- on Brian Stuart runs of 3 and 15 yards, the last with 41 seconds left -- and trails 31-17 at halftime of the NCAA Divison III first-round playoff game at Linfield, Ore.
CLU scored first on a 22-yard Jackson Damron field goal, but Linfield took advantage of CLU turnovers in scoring 31 straight points.
Linfield's defensive has been extremely tough so far, allowing CLU just 79 total yards, including just 15 passing. Linfield has 242 total yards, and is led by quarterback Aaron Boehme (8 of 15 for 102 yards and two TDs, plus nine rushes for 82 yards and a score).
For CLU, Stuart has 15 carries for 52 yards.
Jackson Damron's 22-yard field goal gave the Cal Lutheran University football team an early 3-0 lead at Linfield in the NCAA Division III playoffs.
But Linfield bounced back to take a 14-3 lead after one quarter on running back Aaron Williams 1-yard run and quarterback Aaron Boehme's 22-yard pass to Henderson.
Boehme's 22-yard run on the first play of the second quarter pushed the Linfield lead to 21-3.

Cuesta knocks No. 3-ranked Ventura College men's water polo from Southern California regional playoffs with a 12-11 overtime win.
Ventura had beaten Cuesta in the teams four previous meetings this year, but were without three key players.
It led 4-2 after one and 7-5 after three.
Looking to clinch the WSC North, the No. 4-ranked Moorpark College volleyball team has split the first two games at No. 6 Santa Barbara City, 25-20 and 20-25.
Moorpark took a 2-1 lead by winning a dramatic third game, 28-26.
UPDATE: But SBCC came roaring back to take the fourth game, 25-18, and a 7-3 lead in the decisive fifth game.

But the Pirates are not done yet, pulling within 21-14 on Sims' 32-yard scoring strike to Nick Karam with 23 seconds left in the third quarter.
Moorpark College trails 13-0 late in the second quarter of its key game with Glendale.
UPDATE: A pair of Zach Shultis field goals has Moorpark within 13-6 at the half. Set up by an interception by Kevin Kawamoto, Shutlis was good from 31 and 20 yards in the final three minutes of the second quarter.
Thomas Sua's second touchdown run on third and goal from the Ventura 15 gives Hancock a 14-0 lead with 11:20 left in the first half.
Ventura linebacker Ryan Panapa's heroics keep Ventura within 14-0 at the half. Panapa's fumble recovery on the Ventura 2 with :03 left Q2 keeps Ventura within 14-0 at the half.
Sua has 102 yards and two scores on eight carries. Bakcfieldmate Ryan Anglin has 61 yards on 15 carries.
Hancock has 241 yards of total offense, including 218 yards rushing, at the break. Ventura has 123 yards of total offense.
No score between Ventura College and Hancock College after the first quarter at the VC Sportsplex.
Ventura took the opening kickoff and converted two third downs and a fourth down, but an offensive pass interference flag halting the drive.

The CLU football team is halfway to clinching no worse than a share of the SCIAC title, leading winless La Verne 24-3 at halftime.
La Verne drove for a field goal on its opening possession, but Derek Wilson returned the ensuing kickoff 89 yards for a touchdown.
The Kingsmen have since added a 25-yard touchdown pass from Jericho Toilolo to Eric Rogers, a 35-yard Jackson Damron field goal, and a 2-yard run by Antoine Adams.
