Last week I was reading an editorial by Bill Lockyer in the LA Times. Besides the whole thing being a crock about how the Democrats in Sacramento have complete control over what is going on, the State Treasurer made an interesting observation.
Bill Lockyer said "Companies build new facilities, and move or close other facilities, all the time." [California's Demise is Greatly Exaggerated. Bill Lockyer. Los Angeles Times.12/20/10.] The state treasurer is only hinting on the problem and talking about companies moving in and out of the state. What he does not consider is all the small businesses through out the state who did not have the cash reserves to make such a transition. Many of these small businesses were forced to close because the over-regulation of businesses in the state of California.
Mr. State Treasurer, I urge you to take another look at California's business climate and do something to help the small businesses.
