The super-sized Marmonte League has three of the Top 17 teams in this week's CalHiSports' state rankings -- No. 1 Oaks Christian, No. 11 Moorpark and No. 17 St. Bonaventure.

Two weeks ago, prior to St. Bonaventure's upset to Bishop Amat, the poll had Oaks Christian at No. 1, St. Bonaventure at No. 3 and Moorpark at No. 13.

The total jumps to four teams in Rivals.com's Southern Section rankings -- No. 2 Oaks Christian, No. 4 Moorpark, No. 7 St. Bonaventure and No. 24 Westlake.

This week's CIF-SS rankings features No. 1 Moorpark, No. 3 St. Bonaventure, No. 4 Westlake and No. 5 Newbury Park in the Northern Division and No. 1 Oaks Christian in the Northwest Division.

After two tough years in the Tri-Valley League, Grace Brethren and Nordhoff have become Division IV-A girls' volleyball powers this fall as members of the Frontier League.

Grace Brethren and Nordhoff are ranked No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, in this week's CIF-Southern Section Division IV-A poll, which was released on Monday. Fellow Frontier League school Villanova is ranked No. 10.

St. Bonaventure moves up to No. 5

St. Bonaventure jumped two places in the weekly CalHiSports.com state ranking to No. 5.

The Seraphs were rewarded for their decisive 31-14 win over previous No. 5 Crespi (which dropped to No. 15).

St. Bonaventure has a bye this week as it prepares for an Oct. 10 road game against No. 1-ranked Long Beach Poly in the first game between the two schools.
