The two high school football players who arguably were the top two defensive linemen in the county last fall have each made college commitments.
Quen Kantaris, the Moorpark High defensive end who led the county with 16 sacks, will attend West Point and play collegiately for Army. Cassius Marsh, the Oaks Christian School standout who also racked up 16 sacks, said he will attend UCLA.
The first day that high school athletes can sign their letters of intent will be Wednesday, Feb. 3.
Kantaris was selected as large-schools Defensive Lineman of the Year by the Marmonte League and county coaches. He was the Star's Defensive Player of the Year.
Marsh, who switched his previous commitment from LSU, was the small-schools Defensive Lineman of the Year.
