For what is believed to be the first time in Pacific View League history, one of its schools is ranked No. 1 in boys' water polo.

Rio Mesa received enough votes this week to move into the No. 1 spot in Division VI.

Pacific View League schools have never had a team advance to a section final in either boys' or girls' water polo. The league was moved from Division IV to VI for the 2008-09 and 2009-10 school years.
