The new one by the All-American Rejects is "Kids in the Street" and it's on mighty, mighty Geffen/Interscope. Oklahoma Cowboys from Stillwater, these pop rockers have not forgotten how to write a tight tune full of hooks that will have the mall mice tweeners all misty-eyed 'cuz Mr. Right did the wrong thing, again. The band's fourth album finds them comfortably cruising on auto-pilot, which is still better than most other bands. Their 2003 debut is still their best - not to mention a pop rock gem and one of the best albums of the new millennium. But for now, "Heartbeat Slowing Down" is another perfect pop song with Tyson Ritter a capable frontman. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
