One would have to be a superhero -- Iron Man, maybe -- to keep up with one of the hardest-working musicians in the 805, Shawn Jones. Keeping up with the Jones is work. He's playing twice this weekend: at the Village Jester in Ojai tonight, and up all those stairs at the Watermark in Ventura on Sunday afternoon on dress-down day, when the dress code is not enforced and even a Raging Arb T-shirt will get you in.

Jones has a new album, out just last month, called "Struggle Makes You Stronger," which is not only truth in advertising, especially to a musician, but perhaps a chapter title right out of Rock Star 101.
