The disappearance of a teenage Simi Valley girl appears to be a runaway situation, police said.

The girl, Ariel Beck, 14, went missing from Simi Valley Wednesday, according to a flyer that has been posted around town. We typically don't report on runaway situations, but this has generated a lot of interest and questions due at least in part to the posted flyers.

Police don't have any reason to suspect foul play, and they suspect the disappearance is a runaway situation.
