...I was wrong. Group C looked like the Group of Death, yet Argentina and Holland have proved to be too strong. Ghana's win over the Czechs not only shows how poor the Americans were on Monday, it shows that Group E is the Group of Death. You can't have a GOD in which two teams hog the 18 points. Real GODs however, go 3-3-3-3 after two rounds... which is what Group E will look like in two hours if the United States can find a miracle here in Fritz-Walter-Stadion on the Miracle of Bern hero's 81st birthday. Who will be the American Fritz?
Apologies to Doug Feldman, Kevin Morrison...

Joe,
Thanks for the praise.
The only other group where all four teams still had a chance to go through to second round with a result in the third game is group F. It is hard to think Japan could beat Brazil but I guess it could happen.
France will go through with five points after win over Togo and Korea will upset Switzerland to be first team in Group g. Korea could go to semis.

Why is it that nobody referred to Group E as the Group of Death before the tourney started? The Italians are always good, Cech is amazing (and the rest of the team is very good also), Ghana was supposedly up and coming (and clearly they are), and the US now may be the weakest team in the group with a #5 FIFA ranking.
