The top-ranked Ventura College women's basketball team won its 10th straight game, 83-69, over Cerritos Friday night in the quarterfinals of the Gilcrest Invitational in Visalia.

Ventura coach Ned Mircetic wasn't too pleased with the performance, even though the Pirates had five players in double figures.

"We didn't really play particularly well tonight," said Mircetic. "We just kind of executed our offense and made more shots than they did."
