"Miramar jumped out to a 14-4 lead but Moorpark countered with a 13-0 run to take a 17-14 lead. Miramar responded with an 11-1 run to lead 25-18. Miramar led 35-33 at the half.

Miramar's lead peaked at 13 at 59-46, but Moorpark went on a 23-11 run to claw back to within one. Moorpark had several chances to get in front, but Miramar was able to hold them off throughout the second half."

Moorpark, ranked No. 20 in the state, falls to 10-5.
