-- Dee Pinkard was named tournament Most Valuable Player and Prince Abidoye joined him on the all-tournament team.
-- No. 15 Ventura wins the San Jose City Classic with a 90-86 win over No. 14 Los Medanos, extending its winning streak to 11 games.
-- VC hanging on because Mike Diacos made five straight free throws. Benson made two free throws to push Ventura ahead 90-86 with 12 seconds left.
-- VC led 81-71 with 50 seconds to play, but Los Medanos' Tyree Murray made three straight 3-pointers to pull Los Medanos within 84-83 and 86-85.
-- Gray's 3-pointer from a Prince Abidoye assist gives the Pirates their biggest lead, 74-68, with two minutes to play.
-- Benson scores seven Ventura points in a row to put the Pirates up, 69-66, with three minutes to play.
-- A floater by Benson off a spin move pulls VC even at 64-64.
-- A layup by Faiivae pulls VC within one point, 63-62, with four minutes to play.
-- Jordan Harris comes off the bench for a steal and tip in to pull VC within four, then Alex Jamerson comes up with a steal and feeds Harris for a layup to pull VC within 58-56 with seven minutes to play.

-- Faiivae picks up five quick points and Eric Gray strokes a 3-pointer as VC pulls within 44-43 early in the second half.
-- Looking for its 11th straight win, Ventura trails 39-35 at the half. Danny Benson and Randy Hunter had a team-high 10 points at the half.
-- A layup from Benson and two Faiivae free throws pull Ventura within 32-27 with two minutes left in the first half.
-- Los Medanos jumped out fast by splashed five early 3-pointers, but Danny Benson and Will Faiivae have held VC to a quick 5-0 run.
-- VC trailed 16-9 early, despite Randy Hunter scoring seven of VC's first nine points.

-- An inbounds play for Julie Heurung pushes VC ahead 47-28 with nine minutes to play.
--Brennan sets up Amanda Padilla for a 3-pointer that gives VC a 40-26 lead with 14:00 to play.
-- Santizo leads has a team-high 10 points, while Griggs and Chanelle Brennan follow with six and four, respectively.
-- Michelle Santizo sets up Julie Heurung for a layup and a 17-10 VC lead, 4:30 left in the half.
-- Donelle Griggs scores four straight points to give VC a 15-8 lead with 7:07 left in the half.
-- VC scored 7 of the first 9 points. OCC responded with 6 of the next 8.
-- Erika Ward will a layup for the first two points.

Can't blame him... this is big victory for all the guys.
