The state's two winningest active women's basketball coaches will meet Friday night in the quarterfinals of the Gilcrest Invitational at College of the Sequoias in Visalia.

Cerritos' Karen Welliver (27th year, 555-279, .665) and Ventura's Ned Mircetic (19th year, 539-84, .865) sit fourth and fifth, respectively, on the state's all-time wins list behind Tom Martinez of San Mateo (563), Caren Franci (560), and Colleen Riley (559).

The Falcons and Pirates will play the 8 p.m. nightcap.
