Hancock College men's basketball coach Ralph Gorton on beating Ventura, in the Santa Maria Times:

"It's probably been about 20 years since Hancock beat Ventura," Bulldogs coach Ralph Gorton said. "It's long overdue. There was a nice home crowd here."

"This was a great victory. Particularly for the community. Not just the basketball community but for the Hancock College community."

In fact, it was only the Bulldogs second on-court win over Ventura in 20 years.
