Dee Pinkard had 12 points and Randy Hunter added 11 points for Ventura, which pulled into a first-place tie with Cuesta with the win. Cuesta, which only made 8-of-17 free throws, was led by 26 points by Tom Schumacher. Joe Ayarza was held to 12 points on 5 of 14 shooting.
