Cuesta coach Rusty Blair on his team's home loss to the Ventura College men's basketball team Saturday night in San Luis Obispo:

"You have to give credit to Ventura. It was our game to win."

Cuesta missed six straight free throws and star forward Joe Ayarsa missed a dunk down the stretch as Ventura erased a late 7-point deficit with a game-ending 13-2 run for a 70-66 win.

"I think we quit pushing the ball, for whatever reason," said Blair. "That was not our plan."
