No. 7 Riverside 83, No. 10 Ventura 66 FINAL
Outstanding wing Robbie Robinson had 33 points on 9 of 13 shooting, 10 rebounds and punctuated the performance with a nasty ally-oop dunk as No. 7-seed Riverside College handed No. 10 Ventura both its biggest and toughest loss of the season, 83-66, in the Southern California regional semifinals at Wheeler Gym.
In their Ventura farewells, Benson had a team-high 15 points and Dee Pinkard added 14 points, all in the second half.
5:00 -- Hunter's free throw pulls VC within 62-50.
7:00 -- Benson's 3-point play makes it a 9-0 run for VC.
7:30 -- Pinkard's drive gives him eight points in two minutes.
8:00 -- Pinkard's 3-pointer matches Jovan Bryant's trey, 60-41.
10:10 -- Pinkard's breakaway layup comes after two Tigers collide, mkaing it 56-35.
10:42 -- Abidoye and Hunter both have four fouls after a double foul on Hunter and an RCC player.
11:18 -- A techincal foul on Prince Abidoye for slapping the ground is followed by four free throws by Robinson for a 54-31 lead.
12:55 -- A 8-1 Riverside run means the Tigers have their largest lead 50-31 .
14:35 -- Robinson's third 3-pointer of the game makes it 45-30 Tigers.
HALF -- Robbie Robinson has 15 points of 6 of 9 shooting with six rebounds and the sickest dunk I've seen this season. Besides Robinson, RCC is 8 of 25 from the field. Randy Hunter has eight points and Will Faiivae has seven points. VC is 6 of 21 shooting with 14 turnovers. VC is still in the game by going 12 of 16 from the line.
0:50 -- After the Pirates spurn a great chance to get it back to single digits, Damon Buford splashes a killer 3-pointer from the left wing to push it back to double digits.

1:37 -- Benson picks up his third foul.
3:43 -- Hunter, Faiivae and Benson combined to make 5 of 6 from the foul line to pull VC within 30-18.
6:40 -- Hunter gets his third foul.
7:00 -- Ventura makes just three of its first 14 shots.
7:54 -- Randy Hunter transition dunk brings Ventura back within 27-11.
9:32 -- Robinson's third 3-pointer of the first half makes it 27-9, Riverside, its largest lead of the half. Ventura starts 2 of 12 with eight turnovers.
11:47 -- VC has made one of its first seven field goals.
12:57 -- Jeremiah Slowik knocks down a 3-pointer to pull VC within 14-7.
14:00 -- VC starts 1 of 7 from the field.
14:59 -- Robbie Robinson's nasty alley-oop slam in transition puts Riverside up, 13-4.
