The No. 1-ranked Ventura College women's basketball team (19-1) visits cross-county rival Moorpark College tonight at 5 p.m. The Raiders are coming off a big 68-62 win over Pierce, which finished second last season. Ventura coach Ned Mircetic feels it is one of the biggest tests of the WSC North campaign:

"I thought last year, Moorpark's starting five was as good as anybody in the state, they just didn't have the depth to sub when someone got tired or in foul trouble.

"It's still pretty darned good. They have size, they have a point guard, they have a shooter. They have everything you need to be successful."

"I think they have a deeper bench this year, so when they do sub, they don't drop off. They can maintain what they have in there.

"They don't have that explosive scorer, but they have kids that complement each other."
