Should both teams win in Thursday's state quarterfinals, the Ventura College women's basketball team would face Pasadena City, which has handed the Pirates their only two losses of the past two seasons, in Saturday's 3 p.m. semifinal.

Both teams have rematches on their hands in the quarterfinals.

Pasadena knocked out its quarterfinal foe, San Francisco, with a 95-93 win in last year's quarterfinals. The teams' seeding and the 1 p.m. tipoff is a mirror image of a year ago.
