One of the best nights of the local community college athletic year arrives tonight. It is regional final Saturday night, the gateway to Cal Lutheran and the Great Eight.

I'll be at the VCAEC for the No. 2-seeded Ventura College women's basketball team's meeting with No. 7 San Bernardino Valley. I'll be updating that score and scores from around the state on our Twitter page.

Click here for the game preview, headlined "San Bernardino Valley presents big problems for VC," which ran in today's paper.

Click here for the feature on point guard Amanda Padilla, headlined "Sure-handed player," which ran in Friday's editions.

You can listen live to HomefieldSports.com's coverage of the San Bernardino Valley at Ventura final here, or on KKZZ 1400 AM Fillmore, live from 7 p.m.

I will also have postgame final scores and reaction right here on the blog.
