While the WSC North men's race looks like its heading to the inevitable Ventura at Oxnard clash on Feb. 19, don't look to Ventura sophomore James Ennis to provide a subplot.

Ennis, who transferred from Oxnard to Ventura in the offseason, has said his move had nothing to do with the Condors or Oxnard coach Jason Cunningham.

"I have nothing against the Oxnard coach," said Ennis last month. "He's a good coach."

Ennis, the reigning WSC North Player of the Week, has been playing some of his best ball recently, scoring 20 or more points in six straight games while shooting better than 62 percent.
