Signing day arrived with at least 18 community college products moving on to the four-year level.

Ventura College receiver Tim Vizzi, a Moorpark High product, will transfer to San Diego State. Defensive tackle Kalvin Cruz and linebacker Trashaun Nixon, a Hueneme High product, signed with New Mexico State.

On top of the three Division I signees, VC had 10 more players sign with Division II schools, two commit to Division III schools and another sign with a NAIA school.

Ventura has sent 35 players to four-year schools in coach Steve Mooshagian's two seasons.

"With another six to go (this spring)," said Mooshagian.

Moorpark College defensive end Quen Kantaris, a Moorpark High product, signed with Northern Arizona. Quarterback Nick Owens, a Westlake High alum, signed with Azusa Pacific.
