The Ventura College men's basketball team (12-1) suffered its first loss of the season. The CCCMBCA release termed Wednesday's first-round loss to Antelope Valley a "bad loss" in its weekly press release, so the previously-ranked No. 1 dipped to No. 3 in Southern California and No. 6 in the state. The Pirates still have the best record and best RPI rating in the region.
