Ventura County Board of Education needs Dr. Mark Lisagor

| | Comments (20) | TrackBacks (0)

Dr. Lisagor represents Camarillo, Somis, Santa Paula, Fillmore and the Ojai Valley.

A press release from Dr. Mark Lisagor:

Public education is critically underfunded and there is a real possibility that draconian cuts are likely in the near future.

In this environment, every dollar counts more than ever. The board must be a
careful guardian of taxpayers' dollars and hard choices must be made to ensure
that we get the very most for our students from these limited but precious
resources.

Unwarranted spending by the current board on dubious lobbyists to the tune of $396,000 with little or no accountability must stop. As a Trustee, Mark Lisagor will
be an effective advocate for public education in Sacramento and our nation's capitol.

He will use his years of experience as an advocate for children's health issues
in Washington, D.C. and his relationships with our Congressional representatives to promote our schools and students. In Sacramento, Lisagor will work
with legislators in both parties to fight for our share of California education budget.

The respected community leader is running for this office because we need a representative who is experienced and capable of making wise financial decisions. His experience as a successful businessman and managing partner of a large group dental practice for 31 years is the type of experience we need on this board.

Since 1977, Dr. Mark Lisagor and his partners have served Ventura County
youth at their four pediatric dentistry offices and have become known to
thousands of families as the "spaceship dentists."

Dr. Lisagor also is a guest lecturer at UCLA and USC.

There is no question in anyone I know's mind. Lisagor is the right pick here.

He may be good with root canals, but that doesn't make him an expert on public education policies. I think he should stick to filling cavities and leave the school policy-making to those who know the ropes.

Vote Valenzano on the 4th!

Dr. Mark Lisagor has been involved with both education and with helping children through his pediatric dentristy offices and his volunteerism for 30 years.

He is by far the best choice.

Lisagor is also owned by the unions. We don't need another budget-buster on the Board of Education. Peterson fills that role all too well now.

Lisagor is owned by Lisagor. If you check the campaign finance filings, it is his competitor that is owned by outside interests - some of them even out of the county. And Dean Kunicki, soliticitor of tobacco funds and fellow board member, is also a big contributor for Chris Valenzano.

Vote for Dr. Mark Lisagor.=!!!

Judging by the picture provided here, the guy seems a little creepy. Are you sure he's on the up and up?

The only thing that is creepy is the "scary" blogger here. Valenzano's puppetmaster Tony Strickland is owned by the prison guards union.

Chris Valenzano has a very strong record of supporting our kids and programs that are focused primarily on their learning and advancement. Mark Lisagor is just trying to get elected so he can advance a political career. Everyone knows this.

Vote Valenzano on November 4th!!!

Everyone knows that Mark Lisagor will be a much needed addition for the Ventura County Board of Education. The VCBOE is broken - Mark Lisagor and Ramon Flores will fix it.

Vote for Mark Lisagor and Ramon Flores!!!
