Brian Dennert here. I was looking at the Ventura County Republican website to see what's going on. Under the links part on the left handside it has a section called local politics. I clicked on that to find only one link ( I was dreaming I would be there. Alas, I was not. A blogger can dream yes? ) listed as Republican Mayors and Local Officials. But the crazy part? It links directly to graphic, X Rated, Michael Powell and The FCC freaking out, Porn. And not just porn. Stuff that makes Playboy look tame.

You don't have to believe me. You can go to the Republican website at

Then local politics

and if you are at work, stop! Nobody is going to buy the " I was just keeping up with the news" excuse. Also, if you are not 21, stop.

But if you doubt me, click on " Mayors and local officials"

PS- Hey, whoever manages that website, post here and explain how it happened and how other webmasters can avoid it.

I know that spammers and hackers are a threat and disrupt out websites. My own blog gets stupid web casinos posting links here all the time. They act like normal posters, then leave a message under a story with a link to their casino. Don't click in their links, it only encourages them!

UPDATE: THE PROBLEM HAS NOW BEEN FIXED.
