While watching television (cable) my wife thought she saw a new Jim Dantona campaign spot. Did anybody else see it or hear about it? If so, give us your thoughts and summary.

She said she thought it mentioned the YMCA, but that she was walking out of the room, so she wasn't sure.

i thought the spot was superb

Brian-

There is a commercial on TV now with my father, Jim Dantona, in it. It is a commercial for the Simi Valley YMCA and it is promoting their Christmas Tree sales/fundraiser.

Jim jr,

Hey, I haven't seen the ad. Can you type the text if you happen to have it?

Is it a campaign ad for him?

I think it would be amazingly effective if a campaign always ran ads pointing to the good things around town. Here is an example...

Hi, I'm Jim Dantona and I want to represent the great people of Simi Valley. How great are they?

Well, the __________ raises money to help _________. If you are interested call them at ________.

Thanks,

Brought to you by Jim Dantona for Supervisor.

You can do spots about every major chartiable group. It would bring them needed attention, and uplift the political process.

Brian

So the Target/Wal Mart/Vons big rigs coming from up north now will have to drive all the way around to get products to Moorpark?

Guess what moorpark, the trucking companies are going to increase costs on your products to make up for Dantona's surcharges and regulations that cost more money. Doesn't sound very pro-consumer.

Dantona also neglects to mention the 23 freeway at all. I guess he believes that trucks will magically be transported from from the 118 to the 101.

Here's reality. The skinny 23 freeway will be chalk full of trucks that only go 15 MPH up the hill to Thousand Oaks during rush hour. Can't wait to sit in that traffic nightmare...

Sounds like Dantona is all about surcharges, fees, taxes, and more regulations...

I don't want to be on the 23 if Dantona gets his way. Maybe, he should get a clicker and count how many more trucks will be on the 23 as a result of his policy during rush hour.

Jon,

Are you pro or anti traffic? Answer the question!
