It's too bad the Park District couldn't do the same for the Douglas Ranch property that will soon be home to 66 townhomes. Had they done that, the City could have avoided years of planning and revisions and later a lawsuit.
But with the townhomes slated to be built on the west parcel, what difference does a park on east parcel make at this point? Couldn't someone argue that much needed homes actually make more sense now?
