I got a press release from Michael Tenenbaum calling out Elton Gallegly for missing a Republican candidates' forum on Saturday.
Do you think Elton Gallegly will engage him in a campaign or try to stay above it all?
Should he have to debate after how long he has been in congress? It is not like any of his views are not known.
I would love to see a debate between the two.
Michael Tenenbaum: Next time there is a debate, let me know in advance so we can publish it here and count down to the event.

Michael Tenenbaum is surfacing as a gutsy, intelligent candidate! First, he had the guts to speak out against, and publicly expose, Gaggingly's ley's almost non-existent congressional record. Next, he had the guts to file to run against Gaggingly before knowing that Giaggingly was experiencing a massive brain disruption and would be in and out and in again for re-election. Now, he's got the guts to criticize Gaggingly's long-standing record of not showing up for anything in his district that might further expose his incompetence and lack of accomplishment as our representative in Congress, or present any kind of an intellectual challenge that would embarrass him.
Michael Tenenbaum, a Harvard law school graduate, seems to be capable of unseating this anachronistic inhabitant of our seat in Congress. I hope Tenenbaum dissects Gaggingly's record piece-by-piece-by-piece over the next two months so that fellow Republicans of this district will see how ineffective he has been for the past 20 years. Moderate Republicans are starting to wake up to this fact and the need to replace him. Republican Party chair for Ventura County, Leslie Cornejo, is leading that charge by her endorsement of Tenenbaum and her refusal to withdraw it and support Gaggingly after he said "Oops" and jumped back into the race.
Giggley's new campaign song ought to be "Lets do the Hokey Pokey!" ("Put your right foot in, put your right foot out, put your right foot in, and shake it all about, ya do the Hokey Pokey, and you turn yourself around, and that's what it's all about!!)
I say let's support Mrs. Cornejo and Mr. Tenenbaum. There's nothing hokey about either one of them.

Looks like this is going to be a controversy-ridden election cycle.
First I read in the paper and on the internet that there was some sort of a dispute over whether or not Mary Pallant paid her campaign manager monies owed to him. Then I “hear” that Jill Martinez owes money the same. When did Democrats stop believing in social justice, protecting the minority, and fiscal responsibility?

Gallegly should definitly be debating...it does not matter how long you are in office or how many people know your views!
Furthermore, if he does not "engage" Tenenbaum in a campaign, he is not staying above it all, he is once again proving that he thinks he is invinsible.
This is what happens when we have safe seats.
Elton won't debate. He knows that the local Republicans don't mind being ignored and they will vote for him no matter what.
Except for Leslie Cornejo, I haven't seen anyone else defect from his camp. Elton could announce he hates democracy and Republicans would march like sheep to vote for him.
Republicans in this area are like a battered person. No matter what the abuse they keep lining up to vote for him like it is some type of special honor.
He is only going to hit you again.
Go Tenenbaum!
I for one would like to see Elton debate. He's been in DC for 20 years so lets see how he could stand up in a debate situation.
I think it is interesting that the Walter Reed Medical Center confirmed he never went for a Physical! What happened to his illness? Another lie from Elton, so whats new.
I'M VOTING FOR TENENBAUM at least he won't lie to us.
Glenda, before you accuse Elton of lying how about some proof? Was Walter Reed denying his visit in the newspaper, or are you just guessing/wanting it to be true?
At a recent Republican Women's Forum for the two Republican primary candidates, Elton Gaggingly and Michael Tenenbaum, guess which one didn't show up. And, it wasn't Tenenbaum! I just read in the news media that our illustrious, do-nothing, "no-show" congressman is up to his usual arrogant antics.
Gaggingly apparently felt it was more important to attend a small politically-safe reception for a local politician in Santa Maria than to go head-to-head with his first serious Republican challenger in two decades. That's the kind of hubris that has not served him well in all of that time, and will get him trounced in the June primary. Good riddance, I say!
Gaggingly seems to think that he is invincible. This isn't the first time, nor the last, that he will be proven wrong.
Gaggingly seems to think that the "people" really want him to run again. In reality, the only reason the party big-wigs in DC wanted him to run again is to keep another rubber-stamp sycophant on their leash. In doing so, they are thumbing their noses at the rest of us out here in this district who want and deserve better representation in Congress than Gaggingly has given us. At least Tenenbaum seems to care about what we, the people, really want.
The main problem with Tenenbaum, however, is that he seems to want to move us to the far right. Having been a moderate Republican most of my life, I don’t think this district wants that either.
I'm seriously thinking about writing in "None of the Above".
Gaggingly seems to think that Tenenbaum poses no serious threat to his re-election. My guess is that Elton will run an Ambien-induced somniferous campaign thinking he's got it in the bag, but instead will wake up to find himself "sacked".

Just the opposite....from what I hear Tenenbaum is moderate and Gallegly is Tom Delay's buddy.
What rabbit hole did Tenenbaum disappear into? His campaign against Gaggingly is the only primary race of any significant interest yet after his announcement, he has become incognito and incommunicado. Is he a serious candidate any longer, or are the GOPers pressuring him to bow out now that Gaggingly has had his miraculous cure? I suspect the latter.
I just read that there is some dispute about who Tenenbaum's campaign consultant really is, or even if there is one. The consultant seems to be pulling a Gaggingly trick ? first he's in, and the he's out! I wonder when he comes back in again?
I just read Steve Frank's blog on local politics and found that he interviewed Tenenbaum back in mid-March after he announced for Congress. Tenenbaum was asked his position on same sex marriage, abortion funding, etc., but ol' Mikey didn't have any answers and in true politician style, evaded any direct response.
Altogether, the fact that Tenebaum is now a phantom, his campaign leadership seems in disarray, Gaggingly is officially back in, and there is no news whatsoever about what's going on with Tenenbaum's campaign, appear to suggest that Tenenbaum is not a serious or viable candidate.
Is Tenenbaum bombing out?

For some reason nobody wanted a Congressman that wanted to speak for them. Now we are left speachless.
