Cameron Smyth @ the Street Fair

smyth.jpg

I had a chance to speak to Cameron Smyth at the Street Fair last weekend. I also picked up his literature titled " Cameron Smyth...The Endorsed Republican".

With a catchphrase like that I think the best questions should be asked to the people who have endorsed him.

On a personal note: Thanks Cameron for coming out to the street fair. Also, thanks for spending time talking to bloggers like me. Although your primary election looks to be a foregone conclusion, I appreciate your respect to the democratic process. I hope to see you in some debates in the near future.

Cammy is campaigning because Alger has been really shaking things up in the 38th.

IF the Dems get their act together he just may have a fight on his hands.

That is a big IF.

Algers' signs are everywhere... he has outposted Cameron easily 10-1

It's pretty clear Alger is soft on education and environmental standards. If he ever got to Sacramento, he'd line up next to all the other phony democrats who are too afraid to call themselves liberal.

I can't believe democrats aren't asking for a more progressive candidate than Alger. I don't even think he believes in a living wage or doing something about child poverty.

Him and his minions are more worried about whether he measures up to the republican signage.

Hello,
Mitch Carlson here, Concerned American,

Back in my day any respected man running for office would be wearing a tie. I don’t like the lax attitude of these candidates. They’re running for government office not head of the casual Friday committee!
Clean up your act guys!

Jim Alger doesn't believe companies that do 9 million in business, but have 13 employees should be required to give a pregnant woman paid medical leave according to CWA questionnaire on his website.

This is clearly a profits over people position.

Posted by: Democrat Alert at May 18, 2006 09:16 PM

Yep,

Essentially a developer with seven employees and 25 million in land assets won't have to pay for family medical leave for his employees if Alger became our representative.

That doesn't seem very progressive.

WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING

There are individuals in this blog that don’t like what I have to say, so they are now resorting to making fake posts using my name in order to discredit me. This is an underhanded, sleazy tactic that needs to be exposed. I will not be intimidated or silenced by these types of tactics and dirty tricks. Anybody who values truth and honesty has an obligation stand up against this as well. Even if you don’t like what someone has to say, all of us need to be committed to giving everyone the right to freely express their views. Otherwise we undermine free speech and sabotage the expression of ideas. And exactly what purpose would this blog serve if it simply became a tool to wage smear campaigns and spread lies against others?

There goes some bozo misrepresenting Algers positions again. He doesn't care about the enviornment, which is why he drives a Honda Insight and has been fighting urban landfills and pushing for green energy... He doesn't support a living wage which is why he defeated Wal Mart and enjoys the support of Labor leaders...

You guys are pathetic

Just remember that Jim Alger is a convicted felon with multiple BK's.who is currently under investigation by the L.A. D.A. for theft of City property and conversion to personal use, another felony.

Jim, If you want us all to believe that Jim Alger is so bad, who should we believe in? Who do you think has earned our vote? I hope you aren't just going to attack and not provide an alternative.

Last time I checked BK was a place with good food at decent prices that makes it your way. Since when did it become something else?
