Operation Eagle Defense Update ( for previous weeks click here).
A friend recently asked me for examples of things that the government does well at. I of course mentioned several ( Social Security, Medicare, Head Start, Rural Electrification,) but one I did not mention was being the prime mover in environmental protection. This is not to say it has been flawless, but without government direction, much progress could not be made.
Recently, another local blog has argued that DDT is not dangerous. Of course most people do not agree, and would think it is a waste of time to even argue with DDT supporters. But, if we allow people to attack the fundamentals of science they will not stop there.
So, I am using humor to point out the fact that DDT KILLS BALD EAGLES and doing weekly updates until a retraction is issued.
The image above is a picture of a government agent helping to bring back a species that was once endangered but is now thriving. Just another government success. I am sure Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, and others will be bragging about how well government works soon.

Is that the guy from "My name is Earl?"
There will be no Social Security when im old
I think the guy looks like John Stossel
John,
Don’t be so pessimistic, we as a country have elected responsible politicians who are:
Brave
Understanding
SMART and
Honorable, I’m sure you have no need to …….
Oh wait, yea you had better worry. I’d start saving now cause you’re screwed.
Save the Bald Eagles!!!
DDT kills many species. This was proven years and years ago. Funny how it is banned in the U.S. but U.S. companies still use it on produce in Mexico and than the produce gets shipped up here for us to consume.

There are individuals in this blog that don’t like what I have to say, so they are now resorting to making fake posts using my name in order to discredit me. This is an underhanded, sleazy tactic that needs to be exposed. I will not be intimidated or silenced by these types of tactics and dirty tricks. Anybody who values truth and honesty has an obligation stand up against this as well. Even if you don’t like what someone has to say, all of us need to be committed to giving everyone the right to freely express their views. Otherwise we undermine free speech and sabotage the expression of ideas. And exactly what purpose would this blog serve if it simply became a tool to wage smear campaigns and spread lies against others?
