I am looking forward to seeing what panels they have in the future. I would also like to see a debate about local elections.

There is quite a double-standard in the media (and on this blog) concerning what’s acceptable for a Democrat to say versus a Republican. With that in mind, as captured by C-SPAN, Senator Joe Biden (D-Delaware) recently made some comments concerning folks from India that were not at all flattering. As of yet, there appears to be no media outrage.

Here’s what Biden said:

“In Delaware, the largest growth of population is Indian Americans, moving from India. You cannot go to a 7/11 or a Dunkin’ Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. I’m not joking.”

Now if Bill Frist had said that, what would Brian have said?

Good point Twister. I agree that this blog is notable not only for what is posted but what is not posted. It gets tiring listening to all the ranting around here about the Republican "culture of corruption", while this blog is mysteriously silent on Democrats such as William Jefferson, Cynthia McKinney, Alan Mollohan, John Conyers, Frank Ballance, and Jim Traficant. You would think that people who are fed up with corrupt politicians wouldn't care about party affiliation. Duke Cunningham was corrupt, but so is William Jefferson. So why does this blog talk about one and not the other?
