Ferial Masry busy lately
( Ferial Masry with Democratic National ChairpersonHoward Dean)
Ferial Masry ( Running again against Audra Strickland for state assembly) has an amazing life story. I support her for many reasons but the 1st would have to be because it would show the greatness of American democracy to elect a Saudi born WOMAN who's son served in Iraq to office.
It would also really upset Osama Bin Laden.
I support her not because of Audra Strickland's leadership, but because she would be great in a number of offices. In fact, I hope she will run for another office that might be easier for a Democrat in this area.
Anyways, click on continue reading for some upcoming parties she will be at.
The election is getting closer and there are even
more chances to get out meet Ferial Masry! Here
are some more events:
Aug. 26 5-7 pm: Meet and Greet
Host: Lenore Arab
2264 Ranch View Place

Also, Ferial will be interviewed on a local cable
access show "Eye on the Issues". Ferial will be
interviewed by a panel of local residents and also
stating her positions on many local and State
issues. There is no date as of yet for when the show
will air, but we will be sure to let everyone
know as soon as we find out.

Why is she running? If you are not going to win, give up. The voters selected Strickland so why waste our time on this rematch. What has changed in two years?
Posted by: Get the hint at August 29, 2006 12:34 AMWhy is she running? The simple answer to that is, because she can. But I think that Brian Denner said it best, because win, lose or draw it demonstrates the greatness of American democracy. Don't forget that in Saudi Arabia no political parties or unions are permitted to exist. What has changed in two years is there is a political phenomenon known as "Change We Can Believe In" that is sweeping the nation. So while some can ask "why waste our time on this rematch" I say you can either lead, follow, or stay out of the way as the change express flys through town.

I have a few guidelines for comments on this blog.
1. If you see anything that crosses the line from politics, to a personal attack and you want it removed just e-mail me (briandennert@yahoo.com)
2. You don't need to use your real name, but I trust a person that uses thier real name more. So should you.
3. In the box that says URL, feel free to leave a link back to a candidate or cause you favor.
4. Keept it clean. Don't use foul language. Try to attack ideas, not personalities. Bring the best and you will bring out the best in others.
5. In addition, I abide by other guidelines put forth by The Star. I want this blog to have high standards and I would hope as your part as a citizen you will help move the debate forward.
