County Board:
Ventura County Star:
Charles Watson and Donna Prenta

I guess The Star likes their candidates to debate!

Simi Valley School Board:
SEA( Teacher's union):
Thurlow Partridge and Eric Lundstrom

Classified Employees:
Raymond Cruz and Eric Lundstrom

I don't remember the school unions splitting before. Does anybody else? Maybe the classified employees are upset that Thurlow Partridge took a public stand in favor of higher teacher salaries believing it would come from the same pool of money as their salaries.

Jim Dantona did recieve the endorsements of both unions and has had flyers given to all union members.

No surprise that teachers endorsed Dantona over Foy. After all, Dantona has an education, Foy didn't think one was important to get. Dantona understands the hours teachers work and the pay they get. Foy sucks on is silver spoon behind his locked gates and has no respect for the hard working teachers. Dantona has contacts throughout the Capitol and will see to it that local schools get the funds that are needed. Foy's contacts are in his secret society that wants to break down our Constitution. Teachers have made reasonable endorsements. I guess that is why they are educators. They can read and think. Let's hope the voters are as smart as our teachers.

Brian,
Four years ago SEA and CSEA split recommendations. SEA recommended Stratton and Kurachi fours years ago and CSEA went with Kurachi and a guy whose name I cannot remember, I believe he was a retired police officer, he kind of disappeared after he lost. I think the Star endorsing Prenta really shows that she has great qualifications while Kunicki has spent two years on the County Board doing nothing, except selling out local control of Simi and Moorpark to Vista Real Charter School.

Donna Prenta is going to surprise everyone with her margin of victory. All aboard the Prenta Train: Next stop Victory!

Arleigh, Thanks for the backround information. I didn't know the history.

Loupy sounds like a typical liberal democrat who has to resort to name calling because they don't have good arguments to stand on. Labor unions are not representing our kids or our education system. They are only interested in getting as much money as they can from the wages of hard working teachers (like another tax on a teacher's wages). Remember the quote from Al Shankers, President of the American Federation of Teachers, "I will represent the interests of school children when school children start paying union dues."

Shelley sounds like the typical conservative who has been duped by the rich in to thinking they actually care about her. It seems a lot of conservatives are almost like women who have battered women syndrome. They get bashed around and still protect the abuser. The rich and the corporations are laughing all the way to the bank. Chevron just made a record 5 billion in profit on Shelley's back and I bet she votes against 87!

How terrible! Cheveron stockholders made a profit. Let's just have the government control every business. That way we can all pay $5 per gallon like Canada. No on 87. No on all the wasteful bonds. No on all the liberals who want the failed socialist systems of Europe.

Ah yes Shelley, spoken like a true conservative who has learned to bow lowly to the rich and doesn't even know it.

Ha. This is Mike Stein from the future. The Star doesn't like people that know how to debate or they wouldn't have picked Elton. HAHA.
You people in the past suck!
How do you tell a smile from a veil? Do you think you can tell?
And did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts?
Hot ashes for trees? Hot air for a cool breeze?
Cold comfort for change? And did you exchange
a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?
