The Star had two stories on campaign finances laws this week.
The first story was about a Business pack that supported Judy Mikels gettting fined. They were represented in court by Jeff Gorell (R), former candidate for state assembly.
The second story was about The Ventura County Republican Central Committee. They were brought up on accusations that they used a loophole to raise money, but they were cleared in the end. Now, they want the commission to pay their attorney's fees.
Since they were cleared should the taxpayers pay for their attorney's fees?

Like a bad breakfast?
Keystone cops LOL,
Mr. Hardy was the investigator of the famed Laurel and Hardy.
It is time to call the DA at 805-654-2501 and ask why he is NOT prosecuting the commissioners?
The commissioners violated criminal law on Sept., 28, 2007.
But the STAR has more ignorance than the commissioners. Ask the STAR why it did NOT report correctly the meeting?
Ask the STAR why county counsel told the commission he is NOT counsel for them and their counsel was NOT present and certain items should be continued. ASK?
This really shows how desperate the VCRCC is. They need the 10k because their fundraising is going badly. People have caught on that the VCRCC is only backing extremists in VC and they are tired of it. The Ca GOP is also bankrupt because people are angry they had an illegal alien working for them from 2001-2006 even though the guy was ordered deported in 2001. If you no longer want to be in Osborn's little club you can get out by registering as a dem or independent and you will no longer receive his junk mail at election time.
I would be interested to see if there was any common sense proposals that Peter Foy could usher through that would make it easier on groups to defend themselves without so many lawyers. Now that I brought up with Foy, anyone know when the Foy Toy drive kicks off? Is it a seasonal thing?
Why is the Dantona thread not viewable? The Democratics eating their own too intense?
Ventura Freedom wants to get on the Dantona thread because that is where the action is, with Dantona! Tony Strickland has so much bagage he should be working at LAX loading planes! At least Tony can save some money this Halloween because he does not need to buy a mask, he already looks like a monster! I cracked up reading Tommy Boy McClintock's slams on Arnold, now that is called eating your own! The GOP in California is collapsing faster than a Minnesota bridge that can't be fixed because Bush has bankrupted the Country!

Tony doesn't need a mask because no one knows who he is. Lost to Chaing, who is he?
The only person uglier looking is Bubba Kidd! You gotta love the fact that Larry "Widestance" Craig has now decided not to leave office! The connection between Craig, Vitter and Tony is that they all were working for Mitt Romney together. Personally I will be voting for Jim Dantona because he actually has some great ideas and will get work done for the district, Tony is only running because he is a lifelong political hack who only knows how to feed at the trough on our tax dollars and never brings any tax dollars back to the district!
