The above commercial is one of the best this cycle has offered us thus far.
John McCain is the Republican candidate with the most gravitas by far. Sometimes when I see him up there with the other candidates I wonder what it must feel like to be compared to people that became conservative about 2005 or so...
Anyways, has anyone heard if Gallegly has endorsed someone in the GOP primaries? I know Strickland is supporting Romney but I am curious what Elton Gallegly thinks. Back in 2000 Gallegly sent out a mailer featuring John McCain so i wouldn't be surprised to find out he is a McCainiac again.

I don't remember if Gallegly endorsed McCain in the 2000 primary but the mailer had McCain supporting Gallegly.
Maybe a McCain campaign rep should approach him.
I heard from a VERY reliable source in G's office that he is endorsing Fred Thompson.
I heard that Elton has said he will back Calvin Coolidge for President. Wouldn't it be nice if we had real representation in Washington D.C. for our District?
Any word when? Is he waiting until a true front runner emerges?

After McCain helped Gallegly I do not believe that Gallegly would turn away from him for Thompson of all people.
What did McCain ever do to earn Gallegly's respect?
Oh yeah...
Campaign Finance Reform
War Hero
Party Leader
Years of Public service
How could that compare with Law and Order?
McCain's biggest problem is that he has no neck which makes him look very weird. The biggest problem for all the republicans running for President is that they have nothing to run on except to attack Hillary Clinton, how pathetic is that! I mean all these self proclaimed tough guys and the best they can do is to beat up on a woman? They have nothing!
Maybe Mr. G does not have a recommendation because he is planning to retire from his seat in congress in 2008 and so it is a bit less important to do so than it otherwise might be. Has anyone checked with him lately?
If he did endorse, I figure he would support Tancredo.
McClintock has just come out as a state chairman for Fred Thompson. Yeah - McClintock should really be able to tell him how to win California - just like he did. OOOPS! That's righ - as a radical winger that doesn't know how to get along with his colleages, he lost three - count em three - state campaigns - Governor, Controller and Lt. Governor. What's he going to teach Thompson? How NOT to win?
McClintock is helping Thompson because he's got no place else to go. He's just positioning himself for an appointment on the slim chance that Thompson wins the primary. Sorry, even if he wins the long-shot primary, as a pro-Iraq war, pro-life candidate he'll lose the general election miserably. McClintock will finally have to look for a real job.
