I think Ron Paul will be packing it up soon enough himself. This guy is so far out there it's not funny.

Rudy can't win anything. He hasn't gotten second yet. He is wasting his money and burning through it quickly. He will be gone in a few weeks.

Ron Paul earned second in Nevada. He has more delegates than Rudy. He is also winning the VCRCC poll.

If he is an extremist, then so is the Republican Party.

Rudy is the one that can't connect with any actual voters.

It seems the VCRCC is out of touch with Republican voters. They should drop Rudy and do what they are told and line up behind McCain.

If memory serves correctly, Bubba Kidd first took his AKA when replying a couple years back to Arleigh Kidd. "Bubba" originally had no last name, but since he has been faking his way as a leader in the education arena in the real world, he did his own mini-me imitation of a real education leader here in the blogosphere.

I had to laugh at MD calling a union crony like Arleigh Kidd "a leader in the education arena". The truth is that there are those who really do care about improving our education system and those that promote the status quo for their own self interests.

I always thought BK was Tim Keaney.

Tim had his own blog, so it would hardly make sense for him to post anonymously in Dennert's blog. But on a related note, Tim was just a genuine guy who spoke out in an effort to make positive changes in our local school system. Naturally, he was attacked by the education establishment for daring to speak out against the status quo and their groupthink mentality. Too bad.

I wouldn't feel safe clicking anything on the Ventura County Republican Central Committee or VCRCC's website. I think they are criminals and they would load spyware or a malicious virus on my computer.

They must be furious about their humiliating loss with Rudy Giuliani. Who knows what they might do.

If they don't release the results Ron Paul supporters will know the central committee is not being neutral. Do their bylaws demand they stay neutral?

They shouldn't tempt him to leave the party. He is their most energizing candidate as of the moment. Go ahead. Push him out of the party.

Granted, my entire interaction with the VCRCC was one central committee meeting back in September, but I got the impression that more people were leaning towards Romney than Giuliani.

I'm Confused, it's interesting you mentioned 3 Republican icons in Ventura County when trying to guess the identity of Mongo (Osborn, Kunicki, and Gibson). The three muskateers are the future of the party here it seems, but I have my doubts any of them is Mongo.

Trust me on this one folks, I know who Bubba Kidd really is. I won't tell you his name, but I will tell you this, he is a real nothing! If you are a man and you met him at a party you would shake his hand and then go into the bathroom and wash your hands good with soap and you would avoid him the rest of the evening. If you are a female and you met him you would tell your girlfriend "That guy is creepy." If you really knew who Bubba Kidd was you would be mad at yourself for even responding to him on this blog because in real life you would not give him the time of day or waste two seconds on him. Soooo, getting back to Ron Paul. Tom McClintock said he would vote for him. Tom McClintock is held in very high regard by local Republicans. Does this mean that Ron Paul is now a player in Ventura County?

I don't think that having McClintock's endorsement will push anyone over to Ron Paul that wasn't there already. I like Ron Paul. I think he's sincere, honest, and straightforward. He also has very traditional conservative views. I'm glad he's in this race. The deal breaker, however, is his foreign policy position. I can't support someone who is essentially isolationist when it comes to the threat of Islamic extremism. Even if I'm with him 100% on everything else (and I almost am), this issue is my number one priority.

I did a google search and got a lot of references but then yesterday a friend of mine in the East County said she got a call saying there was a fund-raiser for Mike Huckabee and the person said Tom McClintock was going to be there and would she be interested in attending. So who knows. Neither candidate has a chance in hell.

Hey Owen, you should get some McCain signs put up on Madera by the Reagan Library, I see that some Strickland goons have put up some Romney signs.

I just got into town last night. I initially wasn't planning on being out here, on Monday the possibility opened up. I'd love to have McCain stuff all over, but unfortunately I don't have any yard signs :( I'll try to be at VCRCC headquarters tonight. Anyone else going?
