Congratulations to Marta for bringing Al Gore's Climate Project presentation to Ventura! Wish I could be there!. Marta has been one of the most active members in the GORE camp for more than a year. Marta has so many Gore blogs that I couldn't keep up with her.

When the California4Gore draft movement happened last year, Marta had the energy and desire not only to be the regional coordinator for at least 4 Congressional Districts, but Marta was working in districts that were highly Republican. Marta managed to have local
people in place in every Congressional District to bring the signatures in a well organized manner.

At the time that Al Gore asked us to stop collecting signatures in California, I was the organizer for Congressional District 30. I had a bet with another organizer in the San Diego area. I told Marta that I thought that she would actually win that bet.

Marta and I followed each other's blogs on the algore.org site. Marta was also creating blogs in other sites such as the Daily Kos and other Democratic blogs.

She is highly organized, and she is very articulate on many issues. I have read many of her posts, and I have been blown away by her knowledge of history and the Constitution.

I know two of the candidates in this race - Marta Jorgensen and Mary Pallant. I know that Marta will run a clean campaign. I hope that this is a campaign about what each candidate has to offer, not a campaign that tries to destroy the other.

I see the attacks in the Presidential campaign.
Let's try to keep the blogging to the facts.

Marta and Mary both have their supporters - they are from opposite ends of the Congressional District. I think if they knew each other, they would be friends and allies.

Let's leave the mudslinging to the races between the Democrats and the Republicans.
