John McCain ads in funny places.

Have you seen or heard about the Obama Girl video hosted on youtube? It has been around since June 13, 2007. Funny enough there wasn't many pundits predicting he would have a serious chance at the nomination back then.

Click here to play the version with subtitled lyrics.

Anyways, I know John McCain's ads are placed using key words but it is funny where his ads keep popping up. He really is going negative early in this election. An attack ad placed on a comedy video? Seems like they don't have a sense of humor. It would be like running a negative ad when the other candidate is on SNL or The Daily Show.

Here is another John McCain ad:

Again, I know his campaign is using key words to place ads. But that being said they should be embarrassed to be running an attack ad on a sleazy website devoted to spreading lies. Barack Obama is a committed Christian. Only the most politically ignorant think he is a Muslim. It has been debunked in so many ways already.

McCain understands what it is like to be smeared by political opponents. I have seen all sorts of trash about him including that he betrayed other POW's when he returned home and of course the dirty attacks from Bush supporters in 2000 before the South Carolina primary.

It is time John McCain's campaign gets an intern to check where their web ads are being placed.

McCain ads are negative because there is nowhere else for him to go.

Is he supposed to brag about how great the economy is, and about how much of Bush admin policy he'll continue?

Is he supposed to brag about what a wonderful adventure Iraq has been, and remind people that he thought from the beginning that invasion was a great idea?

Think our current "let the corporations deal with it" health care model is something most Americans will rally around?

If he hopes to appeal to anyone outside of Republican die-hards, he'll have to convince enough people that Obama is worse than him. Thta't all he's got.

McCain looks terrible! I just heard that his wife is an ex-drug addict, I wonder how that will play in Kansas? McCain is basically running as Bush the third, he should have stuck to the issues that got him here. Looks like McCain will lose by at least 20 points in November. Poor guy.

It's obviously a smart move. Obama started this thing in January as God's clone. I never endorse negative ads, but obviously McCain's camp was intelligent enough to realize that since Obama's entire campaign is based on how different he is than other politicians and how he will make our lives happier -- getting his negatives up equals a win. After all, Kerry had a bigger lead over George Bush at this point in '04 than Obama does over McCain.

According to the latest Rasmussen poll -- 46% of Americans view McCain unfavorably... 49% view Obama unfavorably. He was at 43% in Mid Feb.

The second Obama becomes like all the other politicans... he loses.

The sure bet this November is, all things being equal between McCain & Obama, the voters will overwhelmingly choose the one who is making a break from these tragic 8 years of Bush & Co.

Hey John, I don't know what you are smoking, but you are living in fantasy land. McCain has no base and no support. Conservatives don't like him and neither do women or minorities. Obama is not running to win at this point, he is running to get a mandate. No one in America except the richest 1% and the oil companies like the way things are going and no one thinks McCain is anything except Bush 3. It's the economy stupid and McCain has already said he knows little about the economy. Come back on here the day after Obama wins in a blow out so I can tell you I told you so.

not owen:

I wouldn't get so excited there. Senator Obama is a breath of fresh air, and given the chance to hear his ACTUAL plans and positions (as opposed to the imaginary ones cooked up by the opposition), he could win by a good margin. That would be really nice.

There still exists, however, an electorate that doesn't necessarily follow this very closely. A media that truly believes any question asked of Senator McCain is somehow insulting his service. A huge viral whisper campaign (he's not American! he's a muslim! he hates white people! he lies! he voted to raise middle class taxes!) that the media, sadly, give coverage, without effectively debunking the claims.

It's still 4 months until November, and while I do feel really good about Obama's chances right now, let's not get all dreamy-eyed and forget the harsh realities.

Not Owen,

We like it when you guys get all over-confident. Keep it up. November is a long way off...

Yeah, and Obama has the same lead Kerry did at this same time 4 years ago.
