The video is an animated version of the mailer that I have already written about. Click here to see the printed version. What do you think? Does it cut through the media clutter? Have you see it on television. Leave a comment with what channel you saw it on and how often have you seen it.
I think it is odd enough to draw in attention. Again, connecting the donations from tobacco money to votes is powerful, but the other issues seem not as clear cut to me. What do you think about the other issues? Have you heard about the car buyer's bill of rights before this advertisement ? I must have missed this issue entirely. I know there are certain laws that protect car buyers but I don't know much about how they have been altered in recent years.
Click here for the DMV's page on the Car Buyer's Bill of Rights.
Am I expected to care about a car buyer's bill of rights when the economy is in crisis and the state budget is in deficit even though it was only passed a few weeks ago?
I know she has talked about economic issues on her website, at debates, and in other places too, but it should be the major focus of both campaigns.
This part of her recent mailer, tying Tony Strickland to the subprime mortgage disaster, seems to be a very effective criticism of his record:

Tony Strickland's support ( even though he is very vague about actual policies ) for alternative energy allows him to talk about national security, the environment, and jobs all at the same time. Has Hannah-Beth Jackson's campaign sent anything out attacking what his critics call his greenwashing about his actual policies?
The above ad attacks his environmental record. Have you seen it on the air or only online? Click here to see all of Hannah-Beth Jackson's ads on her youtube channel. It doesn't include IE's of course. I know there are many ads from both campaigns I miss. Feel free to send them to me or leave a comment describing them.
If you see any mailer, video, or other campaigning you want me to post all you need to do is send me an email.
If you scan a mailer and send it to me I will post it.
UPDATED: I altered some of the writing here to reflect the accurate criticisms from my readers, that were both posted and emailed in. Especially pointing out the earlier mailer I had already posted! Thanks for the feedback.

You're wrong Brian. Less than one year ago all the talk was about illegal immigration. Illegal immigration was blamed for our economic problems at both the Federal and State levels. Now, immigration hasn't made one word in the Presidential election or in any State or Local races. Nothing changed with respect to illegal immigration. All that changed is what we read in the press.
Phony-Tony has a history of fraud and deceit. He has no political record, so he can only talk about what is in the newspaper today. He formed a shell company to capitalize on the news of today. He hypes what he will do for the economy, but expects voters to forget what he did to destroy or system of State government
Hannah-Beth Jackson is talking about the economy all the time. Her many mail pieces have been about the economy. Under Hannah-Beths leadership, jobs will grow and with it the economy. Hannah-Beth, you see, does not sell herself to the highest bidder. She has goals, objectives, beliefs and a history of successes.
Brian, you should know better than most that a real public servant doesn't prostitute himself for the current news headlines. He talks about real issues, real solutions and getting the State moving in a more positive directions. The Phony, on the other hand, behave like a High School Freshman trying out for the Senior Class Debate Team. It is a disgrace.
Brian, you previously posted a mailer I scanned in and sent to you which talked about the tax cuts she voted for.
This particular ad and the mailer both talk about a bill which Strickland voted against (and she voted for) which would've cracked down on subprime lenders. That is very definitely about the economy.
Tony Strickland served in the Assembly Banking and Finance Committee where he had the responsibility of protecting consumers from unfair banking practices.
What did he do there? Tony Strickland took $47,575 in contributions from the banking and finance industry, the very industry he was supposed to be watching.
Strickland voted against legislation to ban predatory lending and to protect consumers (AB489, 2001). With Strickland’s support, the big banks watered the legislation down to the point that it protected almost no one.
Two nights ago I got a scripted call from Strickland supporters telling me what an independent politician he is and how he despises partisan politics.
Hahhahhahahhahahahahahahahahahh!
Club For Growth!!!!!
HAhahhahahhahahhahahahhah!!!!
It was like listening to Saturday Night Live radio.
Oh, I see you updated. Good! I know it's hard to keep track of all these mailers. I think we have received more than two dozen here from both campaigns.
Strickland keeps sending the same ones over and over. The first version of one had "because" and "tax" misspelled. (Becuase and taxe) So I figure they sent it again so that we know they can indeed spell tax right.
All that money he is spending certainly has not been on proofreaders...
Strickland probably had some crony tap into a federal loan program for right wingers to set up and offshore editorial service in Guam.
