Probably what took the longest was the Senate race - a lot of strong opinions on this one. And the Board of Supervisor race was also tough. One of the candidates had votes all across the board.
Other decisions were easy - unanimous in some cases.
I've asked the other Executive Board members about posting the decision matrix on the website and should hear back in a week or so. Or at least send it out to CAPC members.
CAPC won't be examining the Simi Valley races. In retrospect, we probably should have.
There were alot of races this year and the process of evaluation drove home how important it is for everyone to vote. November 4th just isn't about the President, but about a lot of State Prop and local races.
Nice to see a list that isn't straight ticket one way or another. I don't agree with all the ratings but in general it is pretty good.
I'd like to see the decision matrix on the website. You have been accused so often of just being you and Leslie Cornejo that I went down to the Elections Office. CAPC has close to $4K in the bank and tons of members and donors. I tried contacting you for more info but never heard back.
I got way too much spam on the CAPC website e-mail address - it was unbelievable. If you want a membership form contact me directly at KatieTeague@verizon.net. As in the real world, all CAPC members in good standing can rate candidates.
Very moderate across the board. I can't say that I agree with all of the ratings, but that's what makes horse races.
There's at least one I wouldn't vote for even if you held me hostage.
A group that katie is involved with gave the stricklands an unfavorable rating? GASP! You dont say?
Whata shocker...
The Strickland's days are numbered. They will learn first hand how tough the job market is.
This is a balanced, at times arguable, list and that's what real democracy is about
I appreciate CAPC's work and its dedication to finding a middle ground.
Who cares about this politically neutered group?
They are a meaningless organization, searching desperately for relevance, with none forthcoming...
