Thanks to Moorpark City Council Member Keith Millhouse for donating the most to this blog's fundraiser earlier this year on behalf of Baghdad pups, an organization that helps bring the dogs that military members adopt while in Iraq back to America. America: We invade countries, topple dictatorships and then adopt some stray dogs. Make sure to keep our troops in mind over this holiday.
The video is of American troops dancing in Baghdad. Keep watching until you see the moves of some of the Iraqi kids. Funny stuff.
And here is an odd story from the New York Times that you shouldn't read before eating turkey:
Meet your turkey.

So we will meet it before we eat it? scary!
Happy Thanksgiving for all we have to be thankful for and more!
We have much to be thankful for in our Country. Even though Bush and the GOP have destroyed our economy there are signs of hope. We have elected Obama and we have gotten rid of many republicans in the house and senate. Locally we got rid of Valenzano, we have much to be thankful for. Happy Thanksgiving to all.
Oh Bubbo, don't forget Gallegly's trouncing of Marta (No Gas) Jorgensen, Audra Strickland's victory, Tony Strickland's victory, Jeff Bennett's election to the Ventura County Superior Court, and Prop. 8 passing. Not so bad for Republicans locally, if you ask me.
This was a very important Thanksgiving to our family.
The day before Thanksgiving my second son enlisted in the Army to serve and protect our country. He hopes to become a member of special forces. He proudly reported that his first official day in the Army will be the same day as President Elect Barack Obama's inaugauration. He said his decision to join was influenced highly by the fact that he would be serving with Barack Obama as his Commander in Chief.
I lost my father recently, he was a very proud Marine; Semper Fidelis. We lost my father-in-law many years ago, he was in the 101st AB special operations unit that eventually became the Green Beret, he was a heavily decorated war hero.
I am sure my son's grandfather's are looking down from heaven on this Thanksgiving Day with great pride in their grandson and his deciosn to serve his country.
I have to admit I was a bit conflicted when I first found out about my son's decision, it took a while to absorb. After talking to him more and hearing how he came to his decision to serve I am now humbled and honored that my son fully embraces and understands everything that it means to fight for and defend our country.
It is a strange turn of events that the son I once advocated for and fought to protect will now be fighting to protect me.
My other two sons are continuing their education's to become a special education teacher and the an environmental scientist.
I could not be more thankful for the fine young men they have become and what tremendous assets they are to our comunity.
