Late Hits in State Senate Race Keep Coming In!

The hits just keep coming into mailboxes even though so many people have already voted. I haven't followed enough contested legislative races to know but is it typical for the party or IE's to wait so long to act?

The polls are supposedly showing a very close race. Click here for a story about the polls from a left leaning blog.

Unlike many people I am not making predictions nor do I have enough information to make an informed bet on what is going to happen in this campaign. Whatever side wins I know that they will look brilliant for winning and the other side will be ridiculed for the poor choices.

That just goes with the field. Try not to brag too much or kick a team when they are down too much either. Both sides should try to be gracious.

I was there yesterday at First and LA ave and I was the one that suggested you call the Sheriff's department for some FACTS on reports showing four to five hundreds reports of theft and defacing property and cars from No supporters and not one report about the yes supporters. I know you and your mom had a sign stolen and didn't report it. My neighbor and I had four signs stolen and didn't report it either. You chose not to contact the Sheriff to verify the reports to mislead your readers into thinking the problem was equal on both sides. You also inferred that both sides are yelling obscenities at the sign wavers. Again you are misleading the readers. I've been doing it for the last two weeks on different corners while No supporters are there also. Not once did I or anyone I know that is signing hear an obscenity at any No supporters. You are entitled to your views, but as somewhat of a journalist you are responsible for reporting facts and truth and not your bias. Take time to read your on blog and look at the pictures and your bias rings loud and clear. Journalism today is pretty par equal with politicians in that you can trust most of them to tell the truth and the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

Hopefully you have enough values and concern for the truth to leave your bias out of your blog in the future.

Please ignore the first comment that had some typos. Read the second one.

You posted on the wrong thread, Bob. Leave it on the Prop. 8 entry.

And Bob, this is a blog, not a newspaper article. It is opinion. Brian has his and you have yours.

The most telling is Strickland's former campaign manager, Joe Giardello coming out against him. It certainly isn't idealogical. Joe was a part of "Tony's Team" in trying to take over the VCRCC. I wish he were talking, because he probably has a lot of interesting information about the Stricklands.

Bob,

I have posted videos of both sides yelling or saying foul language. That isn't in dispute. In fact, I have video of someone doing it right in front of you as we were speaking! Email me if you want to see it.

I also have a video of other people doing it too.

Feel free to apologize after watching them.

What side yells more foul language? I don't have data to back that up. Neither do you. I have seen both sides yelled at multiple times. Do you really think the Yes on 8 side has a lock on decorum and respect?

Do you really think calling the sheriff is something most people would do for a stolen sign? I didn't do it and neither did you. If both sides are stealing signs I am not going to create an unscientific survey of % of signs stolen VS raw numbers of signs stolen. Feel free to collect the data and get back to me.

By no means did I ever represent that this is not a blog that includes my opinion. But somehow you posted on the wrong entry and said nothing about me backing up your account of events.
