Wag the Dog - This has nothing to do with the B3 Bomber and we are not at war with Albania.
It's a well done movie and pretty amusing. The newscaster names crack me up. And it's full of celebrity cameos. However, it's a blatant Republican bash fest (no surprise, it's produced by Tim Robbins). If that's your thing, you'll really like it. I tend to avoid the Hollywood political statements myself as they're predictably far left.
Jack Black is in it, and this is when he was completely unknown... I remember seeing Black start to rise in the Hollywood rankings many years later and remember him as the weird dude from Bob Roberts... the creepy look on his face and his weird demeanor was THAT memorable.
Oh, it's a fantastically wonderful, funny film -- all thanks to THE Tim Robbins!
Well done, well directed, well written, and really spoofy and terrific.
