I have been a fan of Steve Greenberg's cartoons for years. He is tough, cutting, and fearless.
It isn't because I agree with some of his politics, but because I recognize a strong editorial cartoonist when I see their work. My other favorite is Michael Ramirez, the conservative cartoonist that used to work for The Los Angeles Times. Click here to see his recent work.
He has announced that he will no longer be a staff member for The Ventura County Star. Steve, I will miss seeing your cartoon's regularly about local politics. Thanks for a good run.
If you are a fan of Steve's work please go to his Star blog here and leave a comment. I appreciate it.
Click here to see his website with year's of cartoons for The Star and other employers. He has prints for sale of his work and he does other drawings for clients, not just editorial cartoons.
The Star should keep his blog of cartoons online even after he leaves.

I like this cartoon because it shows that Steve is willing to use powerful images that might offend people to get his thoughts across. Steve, thanks for the permission to post it.

I hope they run a Mike Rameriz cartoon from time to time!
Listen Steve,
You go to war with the armor you have not the armor you wish you had or the armor you might have in the future.
If people want to know why the prison hospital is coming look in the mirror. When people voted for three strikes etc they also were voting to keep people in prison forever and to pay for their healthcare etc, so stop crying about the hospital, if you broke it, you own it! Remember the guy who stole a slice of pizza for his third strike? Well guess what, we all get to pay for his living expenses and medical expenses for the rest of his life, so get used to this people and if you don't like it then quit locking up people for life!
