Fox News Commentator Bill O'Reilly will be speaking at The Reagan Library in Simi Valley next Sunday. Click on continue reading for details. I might try to find some tickets for young conservative students I know. If you would like to sponsor one or more young conservatives send me an email and I will help make it happen. Sometimes going to an exciting event is enough to get them involved for many years in politics. I got a few students in to see the Republican Party primary debate and one of them liked it enough that he has already gotten tickets for this event.
Do you watch Bill O'Reilly often?
I watch Bill O'Reilly from time to time but I am not much into his politics. He is a better entertainer than Rush Limbaugh, but between his war on Christmas , making up new enemies ( Are you afraid of the SP movement? Take the test and post the results if you dare!), complaining about the level of political discourse in the country while dragging it down himself I don't get much from his show. He isn't wrong or doctrine conservative on every issue but his routine gets old quick. But with all of that said he is a better entertainer then many people on channels or stations like PBS.
What are the odds local Democrats will be greeting him by the driveway to The Reagan Library?

This picture was taken outside the Reagan Library and taken from The Moorpark-Simi Valley Democratic Party website. I don't remember what the event was that drew people there. Don't call any small group of people waving signs a protest, I prefer the word rally myself.
From the Reagan Library website:
Perspectives on Leadership featuring Bill O'Reilly:• Author, Columnist and Radio and Television Talk Show Host Bill O'Reilly will deliver a lecture on Sunday, February 15, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library. Tickets are $65 per person and include a dinner.

Mr. O'Reilly is the host of Fox News Channel's "The O'Reilly Factor", which for more than seven consecutive years has been the highest rated of any cable news show. "The Factor", as most people call it, remains an unequaled blend of news analysis and hard hitting investigative reporting dropped into what he reminds the audience is "The No Spin Zone."
In addition to his cable show, Mr. O'Reilly does a daily 2-hour radio show heard on more than 400 stations, writes a weekly column appearing in more than 300 papers, and authors books.
In his entertaining, issues-based memoir, A Bold Fresh Piece of Humanity, Mr. O'Reilly goes back in time to examine the people, places, and experiences that shaped his world view and philosophy - and that launched him on his journey from working-class kid to immensely influential television personality, bestselling author, and one of the most controversial human beings in the world.

Good ol Papa Reilly coming to town.
Hello, I know you said you might have tickets for an up-and-coming Republican. and we are NOT young,we are 70 and 61) BUT I wanted to surprize my husband as part of my Valentine's gift to him, to take him to Bill's lecture at the library.
The tickets are sold out. Is there ANY chance you may be able to get me two tickets? Of course I would be glad to pay for them or give a donation to a cause.
Thank you for anything you can do for me.
Nancy

Hello,
I am a senior at Loyola Marymount University. A friend and I would very much like to attend the event. I was not even aware that tickets were needed. Any help in getting tickets would be appreciated greatly.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Sincerely,
Greg Keeney
I teach high school and I was asking for donations to sponsor some kids but at this point the event is sold out.
Of course there aren't any tickets for sale to the public. Rational honest intelligent people might show up and cause problems.
Is Bill O'Reilly taking money from the Reagan Library for this speech or is he paying to speak there...?
Can we pay O'Reilly to go away -- permanently?
Why not bring in a conservative commentator who has some insight, humor, communication skills - and personal warmth. Next time try to get George Will or P.J. O'Rourke. (I understand that they read books, too.)
Why not Joseph McCarthy?
Who's next? Jerry Springer?
Inviting Bill O' tarnishes the Reagan image beyond repair.
I wouldn't pay $65 for Billo, a dinner, a copy of his book and a night's stay in Reagan's bedroom.
Shame on whomever made this decision.
The man speaks the truth. The truth that Nobody wants to hear.
I don't need to hear him. A grassy knoll with a nice view would suit me just fine. Just to have a clear view of Bill O'Reilly for a few seconds in person would be amazing. Even to see him while entering or leaving the Reagan Library would be really, really, really exciting. It wouldn't surprise me it there were people who would enjoy it even more than I would. Gosh I hope one of us get's a chance.
