A group of Anti-tax activists backed by the conservative Christian group The American Family Association is organizing a nationwide Tea ( Taxed Enough Already) Party on April 15th. Local organizers are putting together an event in Ventura and are looking for more people to help them get the word out to others.
I am going to guess Ventura County Supervisor Peter Foy will be there.
Speaking of which he is running towards the top in my online poll:
Click on continue reading for their message and how to get involved.
I don't understand why a Conservative Christian group has opinions on so many nonreligious issues including bonuses, taxation, global warming, and The Employee Free Choice Act but being that they do here is a poll on The Employee Free Choice Act too:
And a poll on repealing the 2/3rds requirement to pass a budget:
And on the recent budget compromise:
UPDATE: The group would like to clarify that although the Conservative Christian group the American Family Association is backing the event it is not a religiously affiliated event and people of many different religious ( including non-believers), ethnic, and political backgrounds will be invited to help put together the event and attend the rally.

Here is their email:
We are going to have a Tea Party Day demonstration at the Ventura County Government Center on April 15th at noon. If you go to the website www.teapartyday.com, you can see the list of items we are stating as important to us as citizens. These are some of the ideas you can use to make signs. The most creative the best. We will be contacting local media, and are merging with Camarillo , so that we can have the heaviest turnout possible. Please forward this to everyone on your mailing lists, and if you have a facebook page, twitter, etc, please start advertising this. Organizers will be meeting on Sunday to come up with the best ways to increase attendance. This is everyone's responsibility to take part in. The choices our current government is forcing on us is actually breaking the backs of the American people. We must raise our voices collectively. If you have kids, bring them. Feel free to email any questions, and as I receive your emails, I will update you with answers, and current events. We are going to have a website page that people can access. Thanks, Carla Bonney cbonney@west.net

What happens if I believe that we should do something to counteract climate change but I also think taxes are too high? Should I not join this group because it will help their reactionary agenda on environmental issues?
This is one smart group! Bring your kids! (Only it's smack in the middle of the day when kids are in school)
Dear Teacher:
Please let Johnny out of school on Wednesday. I need him to go protest with me to make sure there are even fewer teachers around next year and that class sizes get really huge.
How about a little investigation? I suspect the anti-Tax people are the usual suspects in the county. Lets get some names going.
This is a grass roots effort. Lars, go to Drudgereport.com today, and see all the scientists that are getting sick about the climate change rhetoric. This group is really more about taxes, high spending, and government intervention. Fund education, the fact that you don't have the right to take your kids to government 101 says something about public schools. There is going to be quality organization, and anyone who is sick of being targeted for making money should attend. The people who have lost their jobs should attend also, because the high taxes on corporations have caused them to also downscale. Don't be simplistic. Actions have consequences. If you talk night and day about the dire consequences to the economy if you don't pass 1100 pages of unread taxes, there will be people losing their jobs. And, there will be people getting bonuses, that supposedly nobody in congress ready about.
Carla,
Do you think humans have contributed to climate change? I think taxes are too high for some but I do think the threat of climate change is real. Bush, McCain, and Gingrich agree. Have they all been tricked by Al Gore?
You can read today that now the climate is expected to cool, not heat. Now 56 more scientists have signed on to dispute Al Gore. Al Gore, yes, the man who started the internet, is now being disputed in climate change. All you have to do is look up what some of the top scientists are signing on to state. They disagree with Al Gore. They are certainly not tricked by him. Bush, McCain, and Gingrich are now who I want to voice the current ideas of climate change. But, I will definitely listen to clients from Nasa, and other highly qualified institutes. This is not a climate change argument, however. This is something that will be changing America as we know it. If you choose to stand by and ignore pretty obvious things coming to the American people, that is your right. I, however, choose to fight, very similarly to the people who chose to create a new nation. I am more of the "Is life so dear, or peace so sweet to be purchased at the price of chains or slavery? Forbid it not, Lord. I know not what course other may take, but give me liberty, or give me death." Maybe a bit dramatic, but truly heartfelt.
Carla,
How do you choose which scientists you listened to and which you ignored? Bush, McCain, and Gingrich have all said we need to do something about human influenced climate change. Are they just listening to "liberal" scientists?
Life on Earth is so precious we should work to fix our economy and change how much we contribute to damaging the environment. I am not going to ignore the threat of climate change.
Carla, if you are forced to get your information from the Drudge Report then we really do need to invest more in our schools.
Of course we can pull our kids out of school to go to your rally, but why would we want to? Further tax cuts mean further cuts to schools.
There is no data to support your claim that people are losing jobs in California because of taxes, in fact it's just the opposite. States that cut taxes the most before recessions created fewer jobs, had higher unemployment and slower income growth.
if you're looking for something to fill your time, go raise money for one of our struggling charities.
Carla Bonney,
Your group says they are for smaller government and less government intervention in our lives. But the group helping to organize these events support legal inequality for gay people beyond legal bans on gay marriage.
To me that just sounds like typical right wing "conservatism" and not less government intervention in our lives.
I believe we should all be treated equally under the law, regardless if we are gay or straight. What do you believe? Should the government interfere in our love lives if we are gay?
Wow, Carla, I gotta tell you that AFA website of yours is rather R rated.
I mean, that whole page on the homosexual agenda is pretty instructive. I learned some things there I didn't know. Do you let your kids peruse that site?
Or do they look at the Drudge Report with you?
When you click on the DONATE button on the Tea Party Day website it goes straight to the AFA donation site.
But Carla, the AFA is a 501 (c) 3. That means you're a tax exempt organization protesting taxes. And on top of that you're really politically active, which would seem to be a violation of said tax-exempt status.
Tsk, tsk, avoiding and protesting taxes at the same time. Can we say HYPOCRITE?
Sort of ironic that a tax-exempt organization is protesting that it pays too much taxes, huh?
This is an extremist hate organization hiding behind God and family.
If you want proof of what Jesus would say about intolerance of gays, look no further than the Sermon on the Mount:
Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
All these anti-tax clowns are actually paid staffers for the Howard Jarvis people. They all drive up like clowns in one little car and then pile out and pretend like anyone cares what they have to say, then the clowns get back in their car and drive away.
Interesting,
I am deleting your comment because it references family members and it doesn't need to do so to make your point.
To restate your point you asked why Carla Bonney would want to associate herself with the AFA because it could cost her business clients.
Thanks for reading and commenting on my blog.
Brian - I didn't reference any particular family members. But we will leave it that she owns/owned a Ventura business(s) and her association with AFA could cost her some business. I wonder if she realized that.
It's kind of like Lassen's Health Food store giving money to the Prop 8 people and then wondering why the gays in Ventura County might not be happy with them. Doh...
Do these people know someone already thought of mixing tea and koolaid together. It's called Snapple...
I urge everyone to please watch this powerful video that explains the Tea Party. It's not about liberals or conservatives. We must stop looking for agendas that divide us. We are all Americans and we're all mad as hell over what has occured just in the past two weeks alone!
Please watch and share!
Tea Party/We The People Stimulus Package
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jeYscnFpEyA
See you at the Tea Party!
This is about liberals and conservatives. Your group is ant-gay, anti-environment, anti-public schools, and only for stopping government spending when your party is out of power.
Where was the tea bag party for the last 8 years?
Americans have to look out for "the agendas" because "the agendas" are the potential realities of the threats conservatives commit against freedom.
Today's version of the conservative agenda is a vital part of liberal's success. Where would liberals be if they didn't have conservative Republicans pushing their agendas?
I don't belong to any group that represents my concerns and views, and I am not alone.
I am not anti-gay, anti-environment, or anti-public schools.
I don't have any pet projects nor any agenda's to further. All I know is I have a family that I must support on unemployment after losing a $125,000 a year job. My 401K has been destroyed, and businesses are closing down daily. This country has entered uncharters financial waters in a vessel that doesn't appear to be sea worthy.
WE ALL are facing a very serious financial crisis at this point. We are all Americans, and though we may or may not disagree on policy, it is our shared principals of freedom and liberty that unite us all.
Hungry families are not motivated by agendas.
The Tea Bag group is backed by The American Family Association. A Far Right group that is explicit in its goals. The Tea Bag Party is run by this group.
When you are so serious on economics that your group doesn't have time to attack civil liberties for gay people, ridicule any attempt to address climate change, and diminish the efforts of public schools let us know.
Where was the Tea Bag Party when Bush was president? The issues you said you care for didn't happen in the last few months.
UnitedWeStand,
I am very sorry to hear about your job loss, keep moving forward and you will get through it. I will say that I am very glad that you are putting your frustration into becoming politically active. All of us to need to ensure that our voice is heard. This is the hallmark of a great democracy. Dissent is the surest sign of liberty. Please do not be discouraged by those that label you a “conservative? or “liberal? as I strongly believe that these labels have no real meaning in our modern democracy, except for those that wish to control you or dismiss your opinion. Indeed, sometimes, I will listen to “right wing? radio, not because I agree with their opinions or values but precisely because I don’t. In other words, I will silently debate these opinions and see if my beliefs will stand up. I enjoy having my political beliefs and opinions engaged and I am open to the possibility that I could be wrong. Put another way, I do not accept what people tell me (whether it’s President Obama or Former President Bush) unless I have had an opportunity to digest it, research it, and challenge it.
Good luck.
Martin
ps: Interesting, I will chalk it up to youth and immaturity but your public search of Ms. Bonney was an invasion of her privacy and over the line. Whether she has no kids or a hundred, it is none of our business. If you cannot see that, you are engaging in the same type of intimidation tactics that Cheney and company use, then I question your sincerity.
Lars,
To answer your question about where was the tea party under Bush, I would say that it was building steam and just underneath the surface.
In my opinion, one of the main setbacks for our country that Former President Bush is responsible, is our sense of powerlessness that he exploited. It is because of this that I strongly advocate political participation, whether I agree with it or not, dissent is useful to democracy. Whether it was a made-up war that none of us wanted, or terrorists that we’re hiding in the bushes, he and his elk, made us all feel like nothing we said or did would make a difference. And, it took, this economic crisis, for many Americans to wake up from this slumber and start to fight back against being powerless.
I would close by saying that this phenomenon is not a “conservative? or “liberal? or “Republican? or “Democrat? issue; rather, it is an American issue. That’s why you will see someone like UnitedWeStand associated with a group like AFA, because he wants to be heard and that is definitely a good thing. Indeed, I think you will find that many Americans blame both sides for our problems since Congress and Wall Street are really opposite sides of the same coin -- It is their symbiotic greed and corruption that created the current crisis and allowed it to get worse.
Martin
Martin -
Thank you for understanding. I have never been a "joiner" since I just don't have any need or interest in being labeled then placed into anyone's pre-defined box which, as I've seen here, is only used to divide, rather than unite people.
Pre-defined boxes don't change and grown, they restrict. I will continue to spend my life committed to growing up which makes me at times, a walking contradiction.
I really like people and I don't want to be pitted against anyone, including those I may disagree with! Like you, I question my assumptions. Problems can be avoided, when more people ask more questions. I just want to know the untwisted truth. I'm not too arrogant to admit when I'm wrong, as I'd much rather be wrong than a fool.
It's so sad to see people so guarded and fearful of each other.
The LA Times Article in which Carla Bonney is quoted: Feb 18, 1998. The article identified her business and she mentioned her family. It it regarding flooding and mud.
The "tea party" is being driven by far right extremists - wear your partisanship with pride. If you are anti-gay, don't try to hide it like the people who don't want their names disclosed for their political contributions to Prop 8. The AFA is sponsoring the tea party people so if you support them, you are supporting the AFA. Some people do.
And Martin, if Carla Bonney is using her name for public purposes - she is fair game. Maybe she wasn't told that by her political friends, but it is a fact of life.
Maybe local and state Republicans should spend less time attacking each other and more time working and giving a better impresssion.
Per Timm Herdt's "95% Accurate" blog.
"True to form, the February report for Ventura County shows that the number of registered voters declined by about 4,100 since November. The report also shows that Democrats, who in 2008 surpassed Republicans in voter registration, have gained by subtraction.
The report lists 1,090 fewer Democrats than in November -- but also 2,789 fewer Republicans.
That means Democrats increased their lead by almost 1,700 voters -- increasing their percentage lead by about half a percent. The new total: 40.14 percent Democrats, 37.24 percent Republicans."
Interesting - I read the LA Times article. Seems like the TAX PAYED city crews and emergency crews did yeoman's duty yet some people were still complaining......
Actually, it is many various groups that are sponsoring this event. The local website is www.teapartyteams.com. You can read about the event there. We are speaking for a number of things at this event. Mainly, stop spending our money, and stop taxing us to death.
An additional thing mentioned is that we want deductions for charities to remain the same as they are now. As anyone who has commented above knows, if you work for a charity, you depend on donations. I do a lot of charitable work, and a 501c is important, simply for the fact that they have to be very careful that the money is going for what is legitimate with that designation. This grass roots movement also expects that there will be all types of taxpayers attending. I am quite sure there will be gay attendees angry with their money being grabbed by the government. Although, that is not the first thing I am asking people that contact me. So, to explain, this group is inviting Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians, and any group that dislikes the moves this government is making. We may not harbor angry at everything in tandem. But we are inviting all to protest the current actions taken by this government. Because, if we don't stand against this type of action, we can only blame ourselves for letting it occur.
Carla,
The group sponsoring the event is a far right anti-gay group. I am not discussing marriage only but looking at their site they really want to stop the "homosexual agenda" by denying most civil rights and liberties to gay people.
How do you insist this event is an event to stop government intervention in our lives when you don't mean it for gay people?
Do you think gay people should pay higher taxes? Should they qualify for all the same deductions in the tax code?
The AFA is the sponsor of this event. Why would I join sides to cut taxes at the expenses of the civil liberties of my friends? That doesn't make sense at all. What's the point of slightly lower taxes at the cost of empowering people that would force gays back in the closest, take away protections from being fired for being gay, exclude them from many professions, tax them higher for being gay, and other regressive ideas?
The Tea Bag Party is a right wing event. They didn't speak up while Bush did almost all of the same things because they supported his social conservative agenda.
This isn't about small government, this is a partisan event with local people trying to deny who the real organizers of the event want.
In the links Carla posts it only takes a few clicks to find out their real agenda.
Carla and her supporters don't answer these questions because they remove the ruse they are trying to pull off.
The AFA is a non-profit charity. They need your money so they can sponsor political rallies and attempt to deny gay people rights.
Carla, do you agree with the AFA and their positions on eliminating basic rights for gay people?
Should a gay family pay the same taxes as a straight family?
I very much doubt any gay person that knows this is an AFA rally will show up.
Say hi to "John Birch" for me.
Why does a "Christian" group have a platform that looks so much like the platform of the Republican Party? Are they a religion or a political faction?
They have a position on taxes on the wealthy and a position against doing something on climate change? I am sure many people share their views, but why cloak it in religion?
It is clear the American Family Association is putting together this local event and are trying to hide their involvement to try to get people that they oppose on most of their issues to join them.
This Nation was founded by liberals. As a matter of fact the liberals who founded this Nation did it to escape far-right evil religous conservatives.
Nobody,
Thanks for being a long time reader and adding your comments so often. I just wanted to let you know that your moniker has changed the way I say or write things. Because of you I try not to say things like Nobody expected this to happen or Nobody knows what will happen. I catch myself quite often saying Nobody write a comment or something else using your handle.
Anyways, maybe Nobody cares.
Imagine the danger of "Nobody Allowed" type signs or "Nobody touch the cake in the refrigerator"...
Thank you for making me a more informed voter.
Maybe this far right group shouldn't give away their tea being that they are anti-gay, anti-environmental protection, and even anti-pepsi.
boxturtlebulletin.com/2009/03/25/10073#comments
Their local leaders in California included a right wing extremist that blamed the holocaust on gay people.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scott_Lively
Avoid this event, it is a front group for the reactionary right wing.
Check out what I found on a major leader of the group:
http://www.splcenter.org/intel/intelreport/article.jsp?pid=1426
This rally is sponsored by a group that had as a leader a man that wanted to fire all gay teachers. So much for limited government intrusion.
He is listed on the Southern Poverty Law Center on their intelligence report covering hate groups and extremist organizations. I was thinking of checking out the rally to learn more but not anymore.
They should announce that the American Family Association is no longer backing the event or lose almost all voters from backing them.
So it sounds like this group is into teabagging and they promote teabagging. Interesting.
I would like to know what "various groups" are sponsoring this event. So far I have seen only the AFA as a sponsor.
I do think there is waste in government but is this group really surprised that people do not want to show up at a "American Family Association" event? I don't want to make that group look influential, and showing up is an endorsement of their agenda to target groups of Americans that they don't think fits their tight wing definitions.
I am not surprised the group doesn't want to address these issues and stopped posting here. They always seems too shadowy for me.
Boy, Katie, starting to sound a little paranoid there. I'm sure if you dug deep enough you'd find that the Strickland's and Joel are all at the bottom of this.
Stop with hiding behind fake names and attacking Katie or brining Tony Strickland up on every entry. I doubt he would want to be seen with these extremists.
These people are Strickland's instruments. He plays them for every angry vote he can squeeze out of them, even if he doesn't believe in what he's telling them.
Hiding behind fake names, "Mr. Alliance"? Are you serious?
Katie's earned everything she gets on this blog. Stop fighting her battles and make some good arguments for a change, why don't you?
I am not defending her as much as I am defending the rest of us from your tiresome complaints and antagonistic comments towards her. It is boring and grinds all real discussion to a stop.
Why not comment on the tea bag protest?
Let's see - Sharon Runner - who is on a lung transplant list - has recently been (re)assigned a largely ceremonial post to the tune of $120,000 state taxpayer dollars per year. And our Sac lawmakers unanimously voted affirmative to extend taxpayer federal dollars for jobless benefits. And people are expected to participate in a AFA sponsored "tea party" that has no other local sponsors that are identified?
Yup, Katie's right. It's gotta be the Strickland's behind all of this.
I'm sure Joel will be there at the rally too to enforce order.
Conspiracy Abounds:
It would sure be worth the price of admission to see Joel Angeles dressed-up as a Native American Indian, throwing his box of tea-bags into the fountain outside of the Government Center..
BTW, nice cyber-nom-de-plume.
Donkey Boots
Anyone can organize these tea parties, and regardless of who did, I am just grateful that someone did. This isn't a democrat/republican thing; but, it is for all Americans who are sick of the excessive spending coming out of Washington. It isn't about gay rights, or abortion or anything else. It is about Americans who are angry and want a peaceful way to show their anger.
Why didn't you organize your tea parties when Bush II was spending us into oblivion?
National debt when Clinton left office - $5.7 trillion
National debt when Bush left office - $11 trillion
Federal spending 1978-2005 under Republican presidents - up 12.1%
Federal spending 1978-2005 under Democratic presidents - up 9.9%
Federal debt 1978-2005 under Republican presidents - up 36.4%
Federal debt 1978-2005 under Democatic presidents - up 9.9%
Because Bush and their sponsor the American "Family" Association agreed on stopping equality for gay people. It is funny they keep saying this isn't related to their agenda to remove protections from gay families but they won't come on this blog and say they disagree with the AFA's agenda when it comes to gay people. How hard would it be to say they disagree with the AFA's right wing social agenda?
I am going to take their silence as a sign they want the support of all types of people for their extremist agenda to take away rights from all sorts of people.
I will be surprised if one gay person that knows who the sponsor is shows up.
Why should anyone with gay family members or gay friends ( which is most of us!) show up to support a group that wants to remove their basic civil rights.
No one said Bush was any better at not spending. This has nothing to do with what was spent prior to this point. It has everything to do with what is projected to be spent, and what has been spent in just the last couple months. One trillion was printed last week; do you have any understanding of what doing that does to the value of the US dollar? Obama has indicated that he will triple the national debt in just a few short years. He claims the deficit will be reduced to half in 2 years, but after that it will increase every year. Please, stop being a partisan, political bunch and be American. Do you want to give this debt to your children and their children? Get realistic about this and stop thinking republican/democrat. Bush was wrong for the TARP stimulus, but to be fair, some of what was accummulated in debt came from some pretty serious National disasters. It would be pretty ignorant to think 9/11 and Katrina and two wars had no affect on our debt.
I would like to add to Tea hee hee that Obama just projected spending that surpasses President Bush, Ronald Reagan and every president COMBINED back to the time this country was established. So let's not talk spending by party line. Take all the spending ever done by this government back to its start and put it together and it will not come close to what Obama has just spent and projected to spend. It's about being American and wanting to stop all parties from excessive spending.
The money to be spent is borrowed, not simply printed. if it was simply printed then it wouldn't be defeciet spending.
But again, you expect us to come out and complain now and stand side by side with groups that want to eliminate civil rights for our families and friends?
Go away.
If we keep spending like we have been the US dollar will not be worth the paper it is printed on, and unfortunately, you cannot take that to the bank. Why does everything have to be about the individual? This is about the future of this country. Try thinking beyond your own comfort level.
Amazed,
I am not gay. I am not thinking of my own personal rights. This group is trying to stop more civil rights for gays, that are trying to remove the civil rights they do have now.
Basic civil right is an issue over the future of this country. We shouldn't have to eliminate civil rights to get our economy moving again.
Why would I support a rally that is put together by people trying to eliminate the civil rights of my friends?
It isn't hard to come on here and post a comment. Why hasn't this group come on and said they are against the right wing social agenda of their sponsor?
Why haven't you said you are against the right wing social agenda of the sponsors?
“Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both.”
Remember that quote? If the primary concern is economics than really try to unite people instead of dividing people.
The group is dedicated to economics. Here is a quote from the sponsors website:
"The American Family Association exists to motivate and equip citizens to change the culture to reflect Biblical truth and traditional family values."
Of course they claim everyone is welcome to come join them, but every movement allows people to support their agenda.
Until they reject the support of a right wing religious group that wants to suppress the legal rights of American citizens standing I will continue to point out they are nothing but an extremist front group.
Check this out:
http://www.mediatransparency.org/story.php?storyID=242
This group has been targeting corporations for working with gay groups to promote their businesses. Now they want people to help them target more people?
This is nothing but a front group for their right wing social agenda. If the local organizers don't want to get mixed up with the politics of their sponsor it would be easy to announce they don't agree and they are rejecting their sponsorship. Until then any reporter that does dare go should ask them questions in regards to who really sponsored the event and what their agenda for America is truly focused on.
Go away.
This tea party is the issue. I almost organized a tea party for this area myself. This group 'American Family Assoc.' has not contacted me or tried to convince me to do anything other than to go to the government center to protest spending. If they had told me that I would be protesting against a particular group of people I would have declined, but that is not the case. So I say to you, if you dont want to protest, stay home, but why are you trying to dictate to others what to do?
Your use of language obscures what I said. I am against the sponsor and organizer of the group because they stand against civil rights. I didn't dictate that others could not legally go.
Are you in favor of their extreme social agenda, including removing civil rights from gay people? If you disagree with them on a basic question like civil rights then why support their agenda?
You could just as easily form your own group and not work with them.
I am also thankful this organization exists. It has nothing to do with gay-bashing and this is just a smoke screen being used by the liberals that dominate this blog to obscure the issue.
The issue that will be addressed at the April 15th rally is over-taxation. The federal government's doing it to us, the State government is doing it to us, and now the City of Ventura wants to do it to us. How appropriate that the event is being held in Ventura.
I will be there with bells on and I would recommend anyone else out there who cares about the runaway tax-and-spend mentality of our government, at every level, be there as well. I predict a huge turnout.
What organization? The American "Family" Association? If you don't think they are against the civil rights of gay people then you haven't visited their website.
http://www.afa.net/homosexual_agenda/
If this has nothing to do with eliminating the civil rights for gay Americans, why not say you are against their far right social agenda?
I am thankful, as well, for the chance to demonstrate against the overspending in Washington. I think people who use this organization as a way to be biased, are not thinking of the whole picture; but yet, use it as just another way to force their agenda on everyone else. I am not against gays or anti anyone else as a group, each person has their own value. In this state, however, the vote was heard by the majority of the people on the issue of Prop 8. I think it is civilly wrong to go against the will of the majority of citizens in a vote. There is nothing about the April 15th tea party that remotely is uncivil.
I didn't mention Proposition 8 because the American "Family" Association isn't just against marriage equality, they are also against gay teachers, treating gay people as if they are normal, and respect for gay people.
Force our agenda? I believe in live and let live. I just want equal treatment under the law from the government. The American "Family" Association is the group that wants to eliminate civil rights from a group of Americans. That's called forcing their agenda on others.
If this has nothing to do with them, then remove all references to them from this local event.
If the local organizers really do believe in legal equality it shouldn't be that hard to say they aren't accepting the support of a from right group with an extremist social agenda.
The voters of this state have supported politicians for many years that support gay rights. According to your definition the American "Family" Association is uncivil for ignoring our values.
I believe you have made yourself clear by every post saying FAR RIGHT agenda. You keep bringing party into this...Nuff said, this isnt about either party. It is about something far more important. Saving America!!!
Should I be worried if my pinky ring sticks out when I sip my tea? I don't want to get beat up by any Tony Strickland thugs.
ROFLMAO
No, you definitely deserve two lumps. See if you act like Barney Frank again...
I brought up the fact the sponsoring group supports a far right social agenda, but you are the person that brought up political party.
You can't be too serious over economics if your top priorities include removing civil rights from gay Americans. If this was really serious to you why not give up on the far right social agenda to include more people?
Thanks for proving my point with your joke on a physical assault on a gay person.
I am appointing you the next spokesperson of the group since they don't want to answer questions. Are you connected to the group?
America needs to be protected from people that keep trying to target other Americans.
I am not connected to that group. I would think, however, if you feel the way you do about targeting other Americans you would never watch MSM news. The MSM targets conservatives. I personally am sick of all political parties. This country is going to fail because of politics. Spending is out of control and this president has proposed spending like no other in history. Therefore, I will be protesting with other Americans who care about SPENDING AND TAXES.
I am affiliated with this group to the extent that I agree with the philosophy they espouse and the opportunity they present for real Americans to freely express their views on issues as relevant as runaway taxes and out of control government spending.
Regarding the gay-bashing joke, I believe one of your crew (One Lump or Two) started it with the reference to pinky rings and sipping tea. I guess it must be OK, so long as a liberal said it, huh?
I believe we may be on the same side. And, if not mistaken I think that pinkie remark was a little jab at the liberal agenda being pushed in here. The Strickland thugs tipped me off.
Another day and more silence from the actual organizers if they agree with the extreme right wing social agenda of their sponsors.
Meanwhile some excuses for a gay bashing joke. Someone makes a joke at the expense of a local political machine and you respond with a gay joke making fun of Barney Frank and joking over a gay bashing?
It should be easy for their group to say they aren't in favor of eliminating basic civil rights for gay people but for some reason they haven't done it. I guess that is likely to mean they support the full agenda of the AFA and not their opposition to taxes.
I am sorry if I offended any gay people but I am concern if someone sticks their pinky out while sipping tea at the Tea Party it could lead to violence. The local Republicans have a history of violent behavior and this event sounds like a recipe for disaster.
Not everyone agrees with other's lifestyle choices. That is what makes this country great. Aren't Americans allowed to have their own views? What makes a person think everyone should agree? Afterall, don't Civil rights go both ways? From my own experience, I know republicans are real mean;
all their protests and their God-fearing ways are really scary. Most of them favor the right to bear arms....ooooo scary
The problem isn't that Republicans don't agree with other people's lifestyles. The problem is Republicans want to control other people's lifestyles.
American leaders do an injustice to Christianity when they tie it to their politics. Any church that allows any political party to influence it's teachings is a fraud.
I heard that both Petey Foy and Phony Tony Strickland are both big into tea bagging.
I wonder if Foy pays his taxes? I remember when Foy ran for office that it came out that he had several liens against him for unpaid bills and some other financial shananigans over the years. The Boston Tea Party was not over high taxes or taxes in general. It was over no taxation without representation. These anti-tax clowns who are putting on this event have basically hijacked an event in American history and bastardized it to make it fit in with their extremist right wing agenda. They are anti-tax because that is what their overlords in Corporate America have told them to be. The richest 1% direct these people like an army of zombies who do the bidding of the one who controls them.
There has never been a time in history when a little protesting was more needed. If we continue to spend at the rate Obama has been spending our dollar will not be worth the paper it is written on. I say protest and protest loud and strong. America is losing it's value to congress's greed.
This movement is spreading like wildfire across the state and there is no better time than April 15th to unite forces and protest our government's rapid move toward Socialism with Obama's $1 trillion dollar "rescue plan." Enough is enough!!!
I found it quite interesting at the G-20 economic summit that Communist China came out against the U.S.'s excessive spending on the economic de-stimulus plan. They said they could never commit this much government spending to try and stimulate their economy.
Now when Communist China is warning us that we're spending too much money on government programs that should tell you something right there.
I think this is a far better use of time - especially for lawmakers, Board of Supervisors, etc. that have a pro-life position. It is this Friday so true conservatives can participate in the walk and not worry about their tea party.
GOOD FRIDAY WALK IN REPARATION FOR THE SIN OF ABORTION - Pro Life Ventura County is called to a Walk in Reparation for the Sin of Abortion 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. The walk starts from Sacred Heart Catholic Church 10800 Henderson Rd Ventura CA., and proceeds five miles to the Planned Parenthood Ventura Center an abortion clinic at 5400 Ralston Street Ventura, CA 93003,

This energetic Blogsite is very entertaining. Labeling me for my TEA party support as an ultra conservative, orthodox Christian, anti-education, anti-abortion gay basher is hilarious. My taxpayer career includes paying out over $2 million. I have never publicly expressed opinions over how that money was spent. Personally, I opposed Prop 8 because I saw more government interference in private lives.
Support TEA because you want more teachers, not less. The new economic plan takes away deductions for my volunteer work in schools, athletic and scouting programs. The new plan cuts funding to educational institutions as well. I oppose those cuts and will fight to defend the great state and local police, fireman, educators, coaches, managers, IT pros and other support staff doing the work of 3 people for less money, inflation adjusted, than when they started 20+ years ago.
I’m TEA’d because our Federal Government foisted Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac onto the national credit market, pressured the nation’s banking system into lending to unqualified borrowers with the Community Reinvestment Act, asked for, lied about, and then wasted $350,000,000,000.00 billion for the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP), used taxpayer funds to bail out the perpetrators of the Wall Street meltdown, led our financial industry to make these reckless loans, and rewarded irresponsible individuals with taxpayer money to ‘bail out’ their homes they cannot afford.
The generation that once questioned authority now says its authority is unquestionable. We need to ask the hard questions and get answers, not label each other.
Keith,
You bring up good points. Do you also agree it was wrong to invite a woman that called Michelle Obama trash?
It seems many of the people don't support the far right social agenda of the American "Family" Association. What do you think of the AFA being that they sponsored the event? You might be a libertarian minded person but they are not. They want to remove the basic civil rights of gay people.
Katie,
Can you see if your group from Sacred Heart Catholic Church can make a short stop at St. John's Seminary in Camarillo? One third of all the priests that graduated from there turned out to be child molesters. Child Molestation is a sin too yet I haven't seen the Catholic Church have a march about that yet.
Thanks.
Our Ventura County event is not sponsored by the AFA. My weekly radio show, www.blogtalkradio.com/guystalktime
is on Thursdays from 5 to 6pm Pacific time. The topic is sports, relationships, raising families, coaching and counseling. We call this a mancation and the agenda is to show listeners how to prosper in the new world order of equality for men and women of all nationalities and creeds. I don't agree with labeling or calling public figures names, but I defend a person's right to freedom of speech. We will do everything we can to prevent these special interests you mention from being a part of the TEA Party agenda in Ventura.
Keith,
The Chairman of the AFA thinks he is sponsoring your TEA Party according to WorldNetDaily.
"Our goal was to have a TEA party in 1,500 cities. We are nearly 100 cities above our goal and still growing," said Donald E. Wildmon, AFA chairman.
----------------------------------------------
Keith,
The Tea Party is a front for a radical Republican sect who hate you for your freedom. Is this a organization you want to be a part of?
I'm not Catholic and the Catholics I know do not approve of child molestation or even Cardinal Mahoney.
Why don't they think it's important enough to have a march about though?
Mr. Gunther,
Here is a quote from the WorldNewsDaily. Are you sure your Tea Party isn't sponsored by the AFA?
"Our goal was to have a TEA party in 1,500 cities. We are nearly 100 cities above our goal and still growing," said Donald E. Wildmon, AFA chairman.

Mr. Gunther,
Why would anyone supportive of public education support the TEA Party efforts? The cuts to education and the teacher layoffs would be much worst if no taxes were raised at all.
All state polling indicated that most in the state preferred a combination of cuts and tax increases to balance the budget. Eighty percent did not want education funding cut.
The TEA Party people strike me as a bunch of people who don't have children in public schools and don't support the concept of public education.
What brought upon this mass economic chaos were the policies of the previous presidential administration and we have already protested by voting that malfeasance out of office. The current administration is left with a huge mess to clean up.
The TEA parties are political opportunism driven by an uniformed, narrow, bigoted far-right group and those who are unhappy that they are now politically unpopular.
Mr. Gunther,
Can you tell Nobody what your radio show's theme song is? It might give him or her an idea of how much you care if Rev. Wildmon is anti-semitic.
Our Guys Talk Time Theme song is titled "Fathers' Day" and the lyrics include "This one's for Dad, the best friend I ever had" Not sure if that has anything to do with anti-semitism?
I have volunteered at public elementary, middle and high schools here in Ventura county, served as a judge at the Ventura County Science fair and am vitally concerned with offering increased levels of support for education. Cutting the deduction for donations to schools will have a negative impact on these and other efforts to help our schools. The TEA party is about preventing these cuts, not supporting them.
The AFA is not involved with our website or organization locally.
Once again, it is a good laugh to read the labeling and name calling blogs but it is not helping anyone with information, is it?
How ridiculous.
Under the Obama plan, donations to schools will not suffer. It's only a small percentage knocked off the deductions for charitable giving by very wealthy donors. The soured stock market (thanks to Bush policies) has much more of an effect on charitable giving.
But your advocacy for tax cuts for everyone will indeed hurt public funding for schools. You refuse to acknowledge this, apparently.
Mr. Gunther,
On your website it says the theme song is "Get Your Bacon Freak On".
Are you really sure your Tea Party isn't associated with the AFA?
Keith,
The press release sent to me included this website:
http://teapartyday.com/
The website is run by the AFA.
I know you don't want to be connected to them but I think that's where the connection was made by many.
I do agree that blogs can bring out the worst or best in people. Rumors and slurs with no backing to them can be thrown out there. The dumbest stuff I try to ignore.
If you aren't connected at all and don't agree with their agenda then it would be easy to make a new website and not list any of your events on their website. The group could issue a public statement that they don't agree with their agenda and they have asked the AFA not to list their event.
In politics people often form coalitions with those they don't share values with but the cost is being associated with their agenda. I would guess right wingers would make the same point if a local group of Democrats worked with ANSWER LA or another group like them.
After the event send in some pictures of videos if you want me to post them.
Our official website is www.teapartyteams.com, not teapartyday.com. Brian brings up great points and I will work to separate from the AFA. There will be no mention of the AFA by any of the organizers at our TEA party. We will be broadcasting the event and I will send over audio and video to you afterwards. Thanks for the support.
Our Guys Talk Time theme song is "Father's Day". The Bacon Freak Bacon song and link is an ad. Bacon Freak Bacon is the best bacon in the world and I am a baconista that loves the Cajun spice bacon, bacon pancakes, bacon jerky. Best of all, the company is headquartered in Moorpark and is a local success story. Now you’ve done it! I’ve got to have me some bacon this morning!
Yeah Brian you are right...I personally get insulted when ACORN has protests. ACORN who was deep in voter fraud. I get what you are saying. Anyone who would associate with ACORN is questionable, dont you think?
lars, are you brain dead? Why is it your global warming lemming leader refuses to debate the issue of so-called global warming? Why is it he responds to challenges to debate by saying "the debate is over"?
There is NO SUCH THING as global warming, man made or natural, you imbecile! Its the brain dead socialists that are USING global warming to institute their agenda to cripple this nation and make it subservient to their "new world order"
I can only hope a true patriot soon finds the strength, means, and opportunity to put an end to this "man with the tan" agenda to install a marxist regime in this country.
Hey education booster, the problem with the education system in this country is not that we dont throw enough money at it, its cause can be traced to the elimination of GOD and a sense of personal responsibility brought on by LIBERALISM!
Global warming leader? In the US Senate two of the leaders are John McCain and Joe Lieberman on getting something done. Are you accusing them of being socialists or dupes for a "New World Order"?
President George W. Bush has stated his beliefs that he agrees it is real and human influenced? Is he a socialist tool of the New World Order?
Former Speaker of the House, and conservative intellectual, Newt Gingrich has said we should do something to confront climate change. Again, is he a socialist?
Do tell us, who did you vote for in the last few presidential elections?
If Al Gore and his supporters have somehow duped John McCain, Joe Lieberman, George W. Bush, and Newt Gingrich you should give them credit for their ability to persuade. All of your name calling and anger cannot hide the fact that the major leaders of both parties think you are wrong. Their arguments and ideas are much more serious then your selective outrage that ignores this reality.
Whose version of God should be taught in school, whosebone? The Christian God only? What about children from other religions? Do their parents have a say in this?
Why does teaching about God make education better? If you prefer religious instruction, there are private religious schools which cater to each faith. Or you can homeschool.
IN GOD WE TRUST! It is labeled on our currency and we say the Pledge of Allegiance (or at least used to) before the start of every day in our schools.
A little history...the pilgrims were followed to New England by the Puritans, who created "bible-based" commonwealths, those commonwealths practiced the same sort of representative government as their church covenants. Those governmental covenants and compacts numbered more than 100, and were the foundation for OUR CONSTITUTION.
Our Founding Fathers envisioned a government that would promote and encourage Christianity. If you don't like it, leave! You keep your child at home and homeschool them!
As for the teaparty, are you ready for a reduction in your tax deductibility for charitable gifts or mortgage interest, a carbon tax on your electricity, gas and home-heating fuels, punishing those who practice responsible financial behavior and reward those who do not, spending trillions of borrowed dollars, leaving a debt our great-grandchildren will be paying, etc.
Bush and Obama have made terrible decisions. They aren't thinking about the people...they are thinking about their party! Well thank you Mr. President(s). I know your kids will be just fine but mine won't. I am truly afraid. My little two year old is running around with so much happiness...she doesn't know what is coming. I am scared for her and her children. Welcome to the new FRANCE!
I won't even start on ACCOUNTABILITY OR PRINCIPLES...where did they go???
Freedom of religion -- ALL RELIGIONS -- is a basic tenant of this society. Separation of church and state is critical. We cannot teach Christian principals in a public school. It is forbidden by our Constitution.
It troubles me that you are suddenly concerned about taxes and your 2-year-old after eight years of troubling decisions. Were you also concerned about the thousands of children killed in Iraq? The trillions of dollars spent? Were you out protesting the start-up of this ill-advised war?
Reagan raised taxes in California. Wilson raised taxes in California. Be glad it is only a tax increase that fills your heart with dread. Be thankful you live in a free, peaceful country and that your young child is healthy.
Donate your time to charity. Help a homeless family. These are more nobler pursuits.
Funny, but the Tea Bag people said this event was nonpartisan and wasn't for right wing Christian Conservatives even though it is sponsored by the American "Family" Association.
Yet they are here calling people names for supporting John McCain's position for global warming, demanding church and state to be mixed, and blaming liberalism for our problems.
Seems like it is a right wing event from what the are the discussing here. If I believe gay people should have equal rights and that human influenced global warming is real then my thoughts on taxes and spending isn't welcome.
The only reason this isn't officially a partisan event, beyond the fact a tax exempt group is helping to organize it, is that they want people father to the right than the Republican Party to join them.
First of all, most of the children killed in Iraq were killed at the hands of their own people. Second of all, did you expect President Bush to not have to spend anything after 9/11 and Katrina? Remember as well, that Bush had a democrat congress for the last few years. Democrats who spend like they are entitled. Republicans don't get off the hook for spending either. That is exactly why these tea parties matter. We are not protesting taxes for the most part. We are protesting out of control spending. Two trillion that has been spent in the last two months is just tacked on to the TARP that was spent in the last administration. This is a two party spend-fest that has to stop or we will never recover.
One question.... How can any Catholic support a pro abortion president? Just curious!!
FIRST, let me say that this is a non-partisan event. REALLY. When it comes to taxation there should be no right or left, Democrat or Republican. We are all working harder for less! I’m sending this as a concerned American.
I don’t know about you, but I am REALLY NOT happy with the way our governments – local, State and Federal – have continued to tax us more and more. That includes the previous administration and the current one! With our latest sales tax increase in California, plus impending DOUBLING of auto registration, fuel/road taxes, new luxury taxes, State income tax, potential Federal tax increases, not to mention the return of the Estate (DEATH) tax, we Californians will be among the highest taxed – if not THE highest taxed Americans. (current rates top 75% -- and with death taxes reinstated, we could look at over 100% taxation for even “middle” Americans).
I think we are the TAXED ENOUGH ALREADY Party (TEA Party). This Wednesday April 15, in Ventura and almost 2000 other cities across the country, a “TEA Party” peaceful get together of like minds is scheduled. Ventura’s event will be from noon till 2 PM at the COUNTY GOVERNMENT CENTER.
This is a legal assembly with appropriate permission and permits! So join me and thousands of other fed-up local residents voice our disgust at how our “Government By The People” has become “Government vs The People”! EVERYONE IS WELCOME!
I'm Catholic. I believe most abortions are a moral failing. I support the Prez and while he has to justify his actions as our secular leader, he has to justify his moral decisions before God, not us.
Click on the link for an article from highly respected Catholic legal scholar Doug Kmiec.
He is Chair and Professor of Constitutional Law, Pepperdine University; former Dean and St. Thomas More Professor, The Catholic University of America. He worked for both President Ronald Reagan and President George Bush Sr.
Church teachings do not demand the faithful to vote Republican. As you know both major political parties fall far short of the Catholic Church's teachings on many issues.
So far the only thing I have found myself supporting this president on is the fact he told the military to shoot the pirates if necessary. I give him kudos on that one.
He has gone too extreme left and he has spent too much money, which is why I shall be at the tea party.
http://savetherich.com/. Check it out. This is NOT a grass-roots movement. It is being organized and funded by several far-right think tanks and lobbying firms, who represent very wealthy clients. These people are the enemy of the working man and woman. And it is now officially owned by the republican party. Non-partisan, my a**.
KGunther,
Here is an email from the leader of the RNC supporting your cause to raise money for the Republicans and joining in:
Vice President Joe Biden said during the 2008 campaign that it is patriotic for Americans to pay more in taxes. Since taking over control of Washington, the Obama Democrats have decided we should all be more "patriotic" having passed or proposed more than $5 trillion in new spending and $1.4 trillion in new taxes.
I don't know about you, but I don't believe there is anything patriotic about giving more of your hard-earned money to the government to bankroll the liberal Democrats' agenda to increase spending to record levels, change the tax code to redistribute the wealth of working families, and destroy the savings of millions of middle-class Americans.
So on this Tax Day, April 15, the Republican National Committee is asking you, along with hundreds of thousands of grassroots activists across our country, to assert a real patriotic act by sending a virtual tea bag to Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and the rest of the tax, spend and borrow Democrats. Let them know enough is enough and you don't approve of their plan to pass the largest tax hike in American history.
And when you send your virtual tea bag today, I hope you will also take this opportunity to make a secure online contribution of $25, $50, $100, $500 or $1,000 to the RNC today to help fund our efforts to resist the massive tax and spending increases Barack Obama and the Pelosi-Reid Democrats are attempting to ram through Congress.
The $1.4 trillion in higher taxes is just the tip of the iceberg for the Democrats. The proposed cap and trade program on carbon emissions Obama wants would impose at least $646 billion in new energy taxes -- $3,100 for every American family a year. And the President wants to raise taxes on small businesses -- the very engine that provides 75% of our economic growth.
Americans will pay more in taxes this year than they will spend on food, clothing and housing combined and it is still not enough for Barack Obama and the liberal Democrats. Let them know you already pay enough in taxes by sending them a virtual tea bag by clicking here.
And when you do, please also make a secure online contribution of $25, $50, $100, $500 or $1,000 to the RNC today to fight the Democrats' efforts to take advantage of America's present economic difficulties to force through their reckless agenda.
Your participation in this project is vital to holding the Obama Democrats accountable for their destructive higher tax and spending policies. Please send your virtual tea bag today. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Michael Steele
Chairman, Republican National Committee
P.S. let Obama and the liberal Democrats know enough is enough. Send them a virtual tea bag this Tax Day to protest the liberal agenda to raise your taxes and those of every American. And please take this opportunity to make a secure online contribution of $25, $50, $100, $500 or $1,000 to the RNC to support and elect Republicans who believe in the principles of lower taxes, limited government and personal responsibility. Thank you.
Why is it tyranny to return the estate tax to previous levels? The estate tax is a decent way of funding our military, clean energy, and education.
Paying the estate tax is a concern for very few people.
Michael Steele should go back to destroying the Republican party. Why would anybody take advise from a failure like him?
I read every comment on here, I'm convinced everyone against this anti tax tea party voted for Obama and no matter how obvious it is that the government is trying to take our freedom/rights away from us you will still stand by until its to late.
Bush sucked as a President yes... But it took him 8 years, 2 terms, and a war to put us at our previous deficit. Well all you Dem's. "Savior" TRIPLED that dept in 52 days!!!! AMERICANS ARE IDIOTS!!! You all want everything handed to you, and for your governement to take care of you... When did we become a weak country? For that matter when did we become a femenist country??
Oh yeah that's when Americans became weak (AGAIN) because they can't stand up for themselves!
I say F this Pres. F this government! We should be telling them how to spend our money! They make there own rules to "protect" us, They create laws to fight against us... This should make you realize were not free.
And I have NO idea how our government made us all believe we have to pay taxes on our manuel labor??? Once again americans are stupid (me being one of them) Its against the law to tax your manuel labor "service" for money!!
Look it up!
Happy Tea Party Day....God Bless America.
They thought it was about tea bags but it turned out to be about bags of another kind... Republican D-bags.
Wow, today's Tea Party rocked. Huge crowds and lots of support from the community. Some people didn't like that we were protesting, but then I didn't care for a lot of the protesting that some groups have done in the past. I guess there were huge crowds at all the tea parties. Politicians best pay attention.
Why did Elton Gallegly blow you all off? If you call his office they won't tell you where he was but he was in Ventura County!
But I know you will be loathe to say anything negative because he is a Republican.
Why do some of you always look to the dark side? We didn't need Gallegly or any one else to vent our anger at this administrations out of control spending. To be honest, what I saw most was an anger at BOTH parties; a well-earned anger. We need a party for good Americans not politicians.
Because the dark side sponsored all the Tea Parties.
George Bush had a Texas sized party and handed President Obama the bill. It's the same thing the Republicans always do. Republicans don't accept blame well so they are trying to spread it around as usual.
President Obama has outspent any republican in his first two months in office...dont give me that President Bush routine....both parties are equally to blame. The dark side are the ones who were out protesting anti-war when we had troops in harm's way. Those are the ones you should have been complaining about. Our troops gave you the right to sit here and ramble on without recourse. Those protesters were the dark side, not the families that protested yesterday.
To JMK I don't know that Gallegly was invited to attend any Tea Parties. Frankly, I didn't want to hear from ANY politicians! These Tea Parties are a grass-roots movement for the American PEOPLE not the freaking political parties! We had in attendance people from every political persuasion! This was not put on by "Right Wing Extremists" as some of you would foolishly like to portray us. If you want to continue to bend over and grab your ankles, go right ahead. Just get out of the way of the rest of us while you're at it!
Amazed, Mike Gibson, O.P., ignorant Republicans far and wide,
No soldier directed by that worthless lying scumbag GW Bush had anything to do with preserving my freedom. The Republicans destroyed America's reputation around the world. They are despised here in the United States and abroad. That's why they come up with these fake tea parties. They are too embarrassed to say it's them.
Who was the moderate or progressive speaker at any of the events? The Tea Party events were organized by groups including the American Family Association and groups led by politicians including Peter Foy and Dick Armey.

Do think it is crazy that people deny Barack Obama was born in America?
Do you think it was wrong to invite a woman to host the Tea Party that called Michelle Obama trash?
Your post is exactly what is wrong with this country. Your angry-ugly hatred for President Bush and you probably couldnt even explain why. I bet it's the same hatred you see when you see Sarah Palin... you are force fed from mainstreet media. I am not a fan of any politician at this point. But, I have no room in my heart for the hatred you seem to be driven by. BTW, at least President Bush didn't go around kissing the butts of the world's worst dictators. He didn't consider our veterans as terrorist threats. Not to mention there was something frightfully scary about the way Obama so easily bowed to the Saudi leader. Something just doesn't sit right. If you watch Obama's poll numbers you will see them drop a point a week. Americans may be naive but they are not stupid.
George W. Bush spied on the American people. George W. Bush lied to the American people. George W. Bush turned America into a Nation that tortures. Can I stop now?
Late Night,
I love the people who "aren't fans of politics" yet find themselves on one of the most prolific local political blogs in world history.
My hatred for George W. Bush is no more or less than your hatred for President Obama. Your problem is one of us has more material to work with than the other.
What's posted will never be the problem with America. It's whats not posted that we have to worry about. I hope someday you understand that...
Don't misread me. I said I am not a fan of any politician right now. I didn't like what GW did regarding TARP and I don't like what Obama is doing. Doesn't mean I am not political. I am American and I don't see how giving our interrogation information to our enemy helps anyone. I think if dripping water on someone saves one American soldier it is worth it. And, do not patronize me...it is me who went blindly to the polls to vote. I knew exactly my reasonings.
