There are petitions set to start circulating to change the motto of Simi Valley to
" Simi Valley: Better Than Thousand Oaks."
If you see someone with a petition will you sign it? If you want to get involved with the campaign leave a comment. The idea is to create a motto that we will try our best to live up to in our daily lives.

In other Simi Valley news The Simi Valley Planning Commision is going to be discussing a proposal to build a statue honoring a former president in Simi Valley.Click here for news on a proposal for a 3 story tall statue of Ronald Reagan.

April Fool, to you, too.
"The Home Of The Toxic Twins"
Great thing is that no one would have to do anything to live up the motto.
Simi Valley - Mome of Mt. Trashmore
Largest Landfill in Southern California
Bring your garbage, one and all, and enjoy
all that Simi Valley has to offer.
I propose we build the statue of Reagan out of the increased trash coming to Simi from Los Angeles. That way we have a fitting tribute.
Simi Valley has Misrepresentative Elton Gallegly. Moorpark has Alternative Energy Executive Tony Strickland. Who is the Thousand Oaks Republican poster politician?
Brian,
That was pretty funny. But I would not have been surprise if some one really thought that might be a good idea.

Ted,
What's the correct address for your blog?
Is SV #1 in perchlorate-infused drinking water or can TO catch up?
Check the link above and while you do keep in mind that plans are in the works to bolster SV's drinking supplies by tapping into the local aquifer...the same one that's likely carrying a plume of perchlorate from the SSFL.
Oh...and also keep in mind that Strickland voted to prevent us from knowing if perchlorate's in the aquifer. How convenient was that?
Please stop beating up on our beautiful community. It's not nice! It's like slapping one of your relatives.
