Check out this video of Paul Moomjean eating some of a hat:
Former candidate for Mayor of Simi Valley Paul Moomjeam is writing editorials for the VC Reporter on politics. His recent editorial brings up the proposed memorial to the victims of the Metrolink crash.
Here are excerpts from his opinion article:

What do you think? Paul Moomjean has agreed to answer your questions.
My first question:
Paul will you join me in helping to raise money for the memorial?

Please don't build a memorial for those who died near the tracks. Having a memorial site comemerating death near a place people commit suicide is a bad idea.
It would be better to have a memorial on a hill overlooking the area loved they were trying to reach.
Brian,
Will I give money? No. And only because, through the Obama stimulus plans, I already have. Just as I don't give donations to firefighter stations, the police, or wars (even the ones I support)...once the government (local or global) has decided they are going to take tax payer's money, I assume they have a plan for the rest of the funding...the city makes a nice penny off permits and fines...let them rework their budgets...and then explain to teachers why we build memorials for the dead and don't help schools with the living...
I give to my church, I give to the wrestling community by sending kids to nationals, I give to charities that help feed 3rd World children...I give to numerous causes...I say this not to toot my own horn but to share what causes I support...to each his own, I suppose...
I wouldn't discourage others from giving to the memorial, but I don't believe, as the above poster noted, that reminding people who get on a train of the idea of death...
Thank you for posting my article and continuing the discussion. Hopefully Simi Valley residents will take notice with how stimulus money is being used...
