These videos of Tim Allison were made when he was campaigning for Barack Obama:
Tim Allison, a major supporter of Barack Obama, is getting more serious in his campaign to represent the 24th congressional district as he continues to collect endorsements and has now officially filed his FEC paperwork. While other candidates continue to discuss with interest groups and supporters a potential run, Tim Allison has been campaigning at many different events.
He has been lining up endorsements ( click on continue reading for a list) and meeting grassroots activists at event after event. Because he was an early and hard working supporter of Barack Obama he has my attention. The field hasn't been set yet but Tim Allison has so far put together a more credible campaign than any Democrat locally in the last few cycles. If Gallegly runs again he will most likely be the prohibitive favorite. Gallegly has said he is running again which would mean this could be a practice run for a candidate when this becomes an open seat.
When Tim Allison comes to Simi Valley what questions do you want me to ask him?
Here are a few of our ongoing polls:
(This map of the 24th congressional district is interactive. Click on it to explore the district.)
I will add a poll with Republican names after more people submit potential candidates that I should list. Leave a comment with a name of a Republican you would like to see run for the House in Ventura County.

Here is the press release:
Tim Allison announced today the successful conclusion of his exploratory committee and the beginning of his campaign for Congress in California's Congressional District 24.Although Allison will not formally announce his candidacy until September, he has formed a committee with the Federal Election Commission and is raising money and actively seeking endorsements.
"Over the past several months, I have had the privilege to conduct a listening tour in all parts of the 24th Congressional District." said Tim Allison, "I have spoken to teachers and small businesspeople, doctors and retail clerks, farmers and students. Everywhere I went there was both optimism and uncertainty. People want change. They want to leave a better country for their children. They want to know that their job is secure and their pension will be there for them when they retire. They want a strong educational system and affordable healthcare. They also want a representative in Congress who shares their values and will listen to their concerns." "The people of the 24th Congressional District deserve someone who represents them and not special interests in Washington, DC," declared Allison, "and my campaign will be about the people in cities and neighborhoods across Ventura and Santa Barbara counties. The Barack Obama campaign, which I was privileged to have been a part of, has shown the difference we can make block by block and street by street. With the help of an incredible campaign team, we will bring change to CD-24. I believe that the working families of the district support my platform of improving education, reforming healthcare, jumpstarting our economy, providing green jobs and alternative energy and supporting public safety."
The Tim Allison for Congress Campaign would like to thank his committee.

Tim Allison 57%
Elton Gallegly 43%
Never heard of him. But, I guess he can't do any worse than Marta (I Need Gas) Jorgensen or Jill (The Pill) Martinez.
Get it together, Democrats. Do you want to win this seat or not?
Allison. Tim Allison.
It's the punch you don't see that knocks you out. Elton Gallegly has been dancing around the Congressional ring for over 20 years. Never debating his opponents. Never throwing a punch.
Why does Elton Gallegly stay in the ring? His words, "I love the lifestyle". Elton Gallegly isn't staying in Office for the citizens. He "loves the lifestyle".
Anybody who votes for Elton Gallegly is being paid, ignorant, hates America, or all of the above.
Elton Gallegly doesn't show up to debates because has done nothing and can't explain his behavior.
One month in 2006 wasn't enough. Tell Karl Rove not to throw in the towel. One more chance to work him over a bit.
-----------------------
Hey watch the vidoe of President Obama (who truly honored the Reagans with the passing of the Stem Cell Research Bill) Elton Gallegly doesn't like stem cell research and would not provide Nancy Reagan that peace of mind. President Obama did.
Nobody's unbroken string of bad predictions will continue with this one.
Did you hear we got a black President?
I didn't know he was black.
Are you going to be o.k.?
Obviously, you didn't catch the facetiousness of my comment...
